MK9 is the all steel 9mm. It also comes in Elite with nicer mill work and overall better looking gun. Side by side I can't see paying the extra $200. 6+1.
PM9 is the polymer lower version of the MK9, 8oz lighter than the MK9, same 6+1. Same rifling, same barrel.
CM9 is also polymer lower, with less expensive rifling and staked sites, for $150 to $200 less than the PM9. Still 6+1.
I have shot them all and only own the MK9. The extra weight makes it a SOFT shooter, but heavy to pocket carry. PM9 and CM9 are so close to each other, I would save the money and buy the CM9 and $200 worth of ammo and a holster.
K9 (I also own) is the all steel 7+1 bigger brother to the MK9. Same great gun, just slightly bigger and 7+1.
CW9 is the polymer version of the K9. Lighter, but the same gun.
T9 (wish list gun) is the big brother to the all steel Kahr 9mm's. Bigger, 8+1, super thin, very sweet gun. My next bit of change I am going to buy one.
The Kahr website has all the details on the calibers.

Kinda curious about the model letter meanings myself...I know the P series stands for polymer, and the PM, I believe, stands for polymer micro...as for the rest, couldn't say...

thanks JB!
I came into the Kahr club with a CW9, and from that great breakdown, appears i was spot on with it (oh and the 400 flawless rounds thru it, eats everything). and also appears the T9 will be my next Kahr.

Question for Kahr: So then what does "MK" stand for? I noticed long ago that it's not on the list, and that "M" and "K" by themselves each stand for different barrel lengths thus cannot logically be combined into "MK".
Perhaps my MK9 actually is a Taurus, or a fake Chinese copy ...
