how many rounds to set new spring?

Just got a new recoil spring assembly for the cm9 and was wondering about how many rounds I need to put on it before the spring takes its set.

How long is a piece of string? How high is up? Springs are tempered they are not supposed to take a set. They are supposed to remain resilient.

I agree it varies a lot but it will take it's set so to speak just sitting there. Being compressed it will eventually just not return to it's full original length.
