Hey guys! I haven't been on the forum in a while and wanted to check in. With good shooting weather and finally going full-time at my job, there's not enough time in the day to do everything that I want to.

Last weekend, I shot another Appleseed event and scored a 203...needed 210 to qualify as an expert. :( I'll try again in September. I was shooting a 10/22 ITAC with a Nikon ProStaff Rimfire scope. Love that scope. For the next Appleseed, I think I'll mount it on a 10/22 compact. The pistol grip kind of gets in the way from the prone position. Here's a pic from the shoot. This was 5 rounds shot seated crossed legged and at 25 yards. There are 2 holes in the middle. :D

This weekend, I shot my 2nd USPSA pistol match. Next month, I'll be shooting indoor GSSF, outdoor GSSF, and USPSA.

On the reloading front, I've managed to pop a couple of primers while they were in the press. Scared the snot out of me and broke a plastic part on the press. Figured out what happened and ordered another part. Got it installed and about 200 rounds later, popped 2 more primers. It didn't break anything this time and I'm not sure what caused it. Anyway, I've decided to prime/deprime on the turret press and complete the rest of the loading on the Loadmaster. I've just started loading a soft shooting 147gr 9mm load for GSSF and USPSA.

Hope all of you guys/gals are doing fine and getting out to shoot frequently. :)

Thanks Melissa for checking in. Jocko's kind of given me an inferiority complex lately blaming me for running off all my previous cyber wives. I feel kind of bad about it, I still don't think it's me but you know Jocko only speaks the truth.

I've never busted a primer but I can well imagine that would be scary stuff.

I think I'd deprime on your press and hand prime with a Lee or other hand primer. It's nice cause you can feel the primer pushing in, you can take a look and if it's not flush you can put it right back in and set it a little more.

Long as you don't release the handle completely it won't pick up a new primer.

Takes a little more time which is in short supply round these parts and apparently in you neck of the woods too.

Do keep kahrtalk as high as possible on the priority list. A little check in now and then keeps us all happy and content ya know?

Hi Melissa!

I pick up a sweet S&W K frame 357 since we spoke last.
It's a LE trade in I got at the gun show last Sunday.
Wasn't even looking for a gun and actually promised myself no more guns
till I replace my car.

But this polished 3" heavy barrel M65-3 was in pristine condition and
I just couldn't resist.

It was for sale at $550. I offered $500 and walked away with a jewel.
Just can't stop smiling about it - LOL!

Aren't new guns just the greatest thing?
My twin 357s: 65-3 and 640-1

Great shooting, Melissa! You'll have old Jocko drooling over that group. Make sure to wear ear and eye protection when you reload. Poppin' primers can cause a flinch. :) I'm starting to get jealous of your trigger time. I need more time on the range. My reloading press misses me.

I would comment but being I cannoty get on any other forums, I think I will just shut my mouth

It is very obvious to "Mr. Obvious" that you guys fall all over Melissa groups, especialy the great one, as if a woman can't do jack sh!t. Now had ol jocko posted this target group. he would havbe been lucky to get one reply, let alone the unsightly slobbering of some of the members of this forums.Just sayin:banplease:

LOL! I started wearing eye protection after the primer pops. Yes, and flinching. :o Those pops are loud in a garage.

I'm not sure what to make of this, Jocko. Should I expect a horse head soon?

Jocko, since we ran that viking chump off, you seem to have gotten more and more cantankerous. (That should divert that horse head, if not this will.) Your typing has gotten worse too. You been in the sauce again since that last milkshake run?
Keep practicing Melissa, you'll get better.

Bawanna, Jocko is just jealous because you have cyber wives. You haven't run us off, we've just been busy and not enough time in the day.
