I know a guy that whittles grips and those totally ROCK. Love the color and grain pattern.

Beautiful all around. Very well done.

I'm kind of dumb but is that front sight on backwards? Don't recall seeing one with the slope to the rear like that.
I expect you'd probably already have noticed that by now so I assume I'm wrong.

I have been beating the bushes here in North Texas to find one of those in 9mm for the wife.
Her Birthday is in a couple of weeks and it would be good find for me. I like the grips, did you modifiy anything else?

No, I haven't touched the sights. They are a bit different.

Nice. When I went looking for a GI model (like I carried in the service when on watch.)of the 1911 I looked at the Springfield and the RIA models. I ended up going with the Rock. Mostly because it was there at the GS when I was looking. I have to say for an entry level 1911 the RIA 1911 is a pretty nice choice.
