I sent in my CW45 to Kahr on June 6th, to have them see why it wouldn't feed from the 7 round mags, and got it back today, 6 days total.
They first inspected, cleand and test fired it. Then they polished the frame rails and feed ramp lubed it back up and it test fired ok. I had thought about polishing the feed ramp but it looked and felt fine, but I doubt if I'd thought to polish the rails.
I hope this gives you folks having problems with extra capacity magazines, something to try out to fix your problem.
I will see how well it runs on my next trip to the range, looks like that will be around the 20th.
I feel kind of stupid now for not going ahead and polishing the feed ramp, but I didn't suspect that was the part of problem since it fed from the 6 round mags ok, I thought it was more like something of an alignment issue with the 7 round mags. And I doubt I'd I'd ever thought about polishing the rails.

well until it works right for u, doj't put the horse to far in front of the cart yet.We will never know but more than likely the polishing of the rails did more good as kahrs feed ramps are awesome to say the least, can u actally see where they did any polishing on the rails.??I would think it wold be more shinnty than the standard finish. Just sayin
One can't complain about the turn around time that is for sure..

It looks like they removed some material off the metal insert that sets one the top of the polymer guide rail at the front of the frame. The back didn't look any different. I couldn't really tell on the slide where they had polished. It doesn't feel much different than my CW40 does when racking the slide. The feed ramp didn't show or feel much different, so I guess the proof will be in the shooting. It will be surprising that such a little bit of work would make the 7 round mag feed as reliably as the 6 round. Maybe that little bit of material they took off caused the slide to raise up enough that it didn't catch the next round properly, but why would the 6 round work fine and not the 7? Maybe the 6 round mags sit up a little higher, but I sure couldn't see any difference with the slide off. Sure seems like they didn't do much, but if it works, I'll be happy with it. The last 2 or 3 rounds of the 7 round mags did usually cycle ok.
Yep, sure can't complain about turn around time, I wish they'd give a better report, like how many rounds from each magazine they shot, or if they tried all 3 or exactly what they did to test them out. I would have liked to seen that they test fired each mag a couple times with all 7 rounds, but that wasn't included in the report. I was expecting them having to do more than just some polishing.
I'll probably run a value pack of WWB thru the mags and if those run well, then a box of Wally World WWB HP ammo, then at least one mag full of Hydra-Shoks. Hydra Shoks are my preferred carry ammo. But they are hard to come by around here. Probably should just order several boxes from CTD or whoever. Have to look and see who has a sale on right now. I would be happy with Hydra Shoks, Gold Dots, CorBon, or Ranger T series. I like the Hydra Shoks as they are supposed to mushroom out at a lower velocity than some of the other brands. Not sure if it's true or not, just something I've read. I bet that short barrel ammo would work just as well.
