I ordered a CW45 today. I have had my eye on one for a while. Everytime I pick one up in a store it just feels like such a quality gun for $350. I didn't really need it but I wanted it. Currently carry a P3AT in the pocket and a Ruger SP101 IWB. Both are great, so I don't NEED it.

I am really excited. I don't want to jump the gun, but it seems like such a good value. If it proves reliable it may take the Ruger's position in my pants

Where did you order it from?

I was at Cabela's today to make my acquaintance with the CW45, but they were sold out. I looked at the CW40 to get an idea. They said they are a little known secret, value-priced, quality pistol, that is gaining steam.

Well, do I NEED all the weapons I own, no, but I wanted them. Guns are like money in the bank. If you buy quality hardware, the tend to hold their price very well, or go up in value as have several of mine.
Congrats on your purchase, I have a CW45 that I CC quite a bit. I find it the perfect blend of concealability, accuracy and firepower. I'm anxious to see them come out with the CM45, I hope they announce it soon. I think if you wear an IWB holster that the CW45 will definately be more comfortable than the Ruger.

Onalandline, I have the CW40 and CW45, and they feel and handle pretty much the same. They CW45 is just a bit wider than the CW40 is the biggest difference.

You'll be happy. Its a great carry gun. Shoots everytime I pull the trigger, and disappears with a cb supertuck.

I just gotta save up now. What is the big difference between the CW and CM models?

Budgunshop.com. $359 shipped. A couple of months back my local Sportsman's Warehouse had them for $329. I pass and they are currently $369 there

I think you'll find its a great sidearm, easy to shoot, easy to aim, and easy to hit the target. Don't have a CW, do have two PM's, and couldn't be happier!

Owned one and sold it. Missed it and purchased another one and just love it! In my mind there is no better gun for CCW in 45ACP.

Went into a new LGS today. It is just a couple miles down the road and they are still putting up the inventory. You know you found a good place when the first items they put out are powder, primers and all the other stuff. Plus the couple that own the place are both competition shooters (USPSA) and open carry in the store.

They have a few new Kahrs out and their CW45 is $460, a bit high I think but lower than other LGS's around town. Buy the time you add sales tax ($45) and DROSS ($25), holster ($90) it's downright expensive at $620. I'm not really excited about the gun either which means I won't buy it anyway.

Must be old new stock come in plastic case, Kahr has cheapen the CW series to $350 range, they now come in paper box.

I like my CW more than the CM, I can rake the CW slide just like normal pistols, ... oh well.. I just don't fall for jerking off those CM/PM 500 times to "loosen it up".

Love my CW45 using the supplied 6 round magazine - it's flawless. The 7 round magazine sucks - about a 40% FTF rate on the second round...consistently with each shootin' session.

Am gonna get more 6 round mags.

I think there's a sticky on the forum here for fixing the 7rd magazine. I believe it's a known problem that several people have addressed. The magazine follower is not a great design. I believe Greg is the one who wrote the sticky. Go to the Kahr Tech section of the forum.

Lemme see

Couple of handy threads addressing the sanding of the follower

Congrats on your new CW45. My CW45 has been trouble free. It is a great ccw. In fact I went to the sheriffs office today to renew my ccw license. I trust mine with my life. I bought a seven round mag from my local shop. Ran 50 rounds through my weapon with it and had no FTFs, jams or any other issues. I think that I am one of the few lucky people to use my CW45 without any problems with the 7 round mag or I just was fortunate by getting the lucky 7 mag.

It is a good relaible weapon and fair easy to conceal with causal clothing, and even shorts.
