You need to get a new rear sight fitted...don't glue it.

Traditionally, Loctite is the product of choice among gunsmiths. Crazy glue might be OK, if you never have to move the sight again, but Loctite can be defeated with heat, so it is probably a better choice.

If you are using hornady then just know I had same issues in their firearms when it comes to the polymer tip. The shells hitting you in the face can be caused by a extractor that isnt perfect or if its only a few times out of ten then most likely you are twisting the firearm as you shoot, it has nothing with not knowing how to shoot...it has to do with the fact the firearm is so damn light with no recoil and the trigger pull is longer than usual, hell I could barely hit my target once at 7 yrds with 1st mag the first time I shot the 380...I was shooting incredibly low and it took some time for me to adjust. The workers at Kahr like to file the sights before they install them because it makes it easier, however it screws with the profile and it causes the sight to obviously not be as tight as it should. DO NOT EVER USE CRAZY GLUE ON ANYTHING for a Kahr gun, one big problem is crazy glue melts some plastics and will make more of an epoxy bond which would not be beneficial.

I took my P380 to the range for the first time today. I'm afraid that I might have wasted a LOT of money on this gun, not to mention the $60 I've spent thus far on ammo breaking it in. I'm having a similar problem - FTF's with the nose of the round sticking into the feed ramp and jamming the whole thing up. Same serial number prefix.

Stick with it.

I will. I figure I will get it up to 200 rounds before calling Kahr (I have 140 through it so far with probably 12 or so jams throughout that period, all with FMJ). It's just concerning. It's hard to imagine that a gun that jams around 10% of the time will suddenly start working after 200 rounds, but we'll see.

I will say that when it worked, it was accurate and VERY comfortable to shoot for such a small .380.

I would shoot at least 300. Read the threads here for tips on how to get it to load properly. You will love it when it is broken in.

I'm happy for you but keep giving these good reports and I'm going to want to get one for myself. And I just bought something else 2 weeks ago.

put 50 rounds blazer hard ball no issues and 50 rounds of american eagle with slide lock back one time maybe it was my thumb but i cleaned and lubed it as it showed on here it was dry when i striped it i think the guy i bought it from never cleaned or lubed it and i seem to doubt he ran 200 rounds thru it either like he claimed

another thing about this gun when you push the mag release it doesnt move the mag only comes out by grabbing the edge of it with your finger nail all my other guns mags pop out all the way or just a litle is this normal?

give the gun more rounds before panicking about the slide lock thing. IMO more than likely ur thumb is the culprit. Soem magazines just do not release ande fall out. MY PM9 has never did it and for me I like it that wqay. no accidental hitting of the release button and having it on the ground etc. Not sure I would worry to much about that thing either. certainly if it was mine I would not but others just seem to hav eto have that magzine flopping out.

There has been on the kahr tech section some theads on how to fix that magazine to,.
