Does anyone have these night sights on their pistol? They make them for Glocks, XD,s 1911 and M&P...I'm thinking of having some installed on my M&P and wonder if anyone else likes them...I think they will help my tired old eyes and only wish they made them for my Kahr but they don't show them on their web site....

I have them on my P380, stock from Kahr. I love them, tiny gun but real sights!

I didn't see Kahr listed on the Trijicon web site...The HD night sights are like the Big Dot's in that the front sight has a day glow orange or yellow colored circle around the tritium dot that glows in low light and the rear has a wide U shaped sight channel to line up the front large dot for quick sight alignment...

My PM9 came with Tru Dots from Meprolight. They will go on my Shield as soon as they are available. They are a little brighter than the TruGlo TFO,s I added to my XDm .45. I am waiting to see if they make one for my M&P Shield.

I'm holding off on sights for my P40, hoping that they will some day... SOON, I hope... include Kahr in their HD NS coverage. I've asked them several times about making them for Kahrs... NO... not yet.

Getsome, I had them put on my XD45 and I love them. After looking into sights at Novak Sights, I ran across a testimony from any older dude who got a combo from them that really helped... rear sights with a wider notch and a more visible... in his case GOLD bead... front sight.

The HD Series has a wider rear notch and the front sight with the Tritium Night Sight is surrounded by the Yellow (in my case) or orange glow dot that can be charged for even more visibility in the dark. The HD's do what this guy got to help him with his "old eyes". I really like them and find them easy to sight with. See my pictures and test starting with page 18:

Right, missed the HD part. My P380 has the standard Trijicon sights.

Still love them.

Just bumping this back to the top and wandering if any of you have heard anything lately on the when/if they'll start making the HDs for the Kahr pistols.

Probably never. They don't even list regular sights for Kahrs, but depend on Kahr to peddle them.

You can check here, but they're so busy trying to catch up with the demand for the POPULAR pistols... the delivery on those is months away!

I've asked them several times and I don't think they'll ever do them for Kahrs.

if I had it to do again, I might have chosen the orange ones for my XD45.

I had Ameriglo I-Dot Pros on my Glock EXO G27.
The front sight was red and folks told me it looked just like a HD front sight.
I liked it a lot.

But I'm a die hard XS 24/7 Express Big Dot guy.
And eventually broke down and switched them.
I've ended up switching to Big Dots on almost all of my guns.
One Glock, two Sigs, two S&W J-Frames and five HKs.

For some reason I really like the factory 3 dot NS on my Kahr MK40 Elite.
I can't explain that.
My S&W 629-2 and 65-3 both still have factory sights as well.
As does my Arsenal SLR-106U pistol.
Those guns will likely stay that way.

Two questions:

WTH aren't dovetails one standard size in the industry?
Couldn't sights for another gun be made to fit with a little filing?

I would like to have some of those combination fiber optic/night sights for my Kahr. Surely, some could be made to fit by a gunsmith.

Proprietary... so they can sell their own stuff... like Apple.

Warranties can be voided or sights destroyed, especially Tritium gas tubes... by improper installation.

Try finding a real comprehensive list of dovetail dimensions!

I asked Trijicon if they had a list of their HD Night Sights dimensions and got kind of a huffy no... depends on the pistol and so forth that you intend to install it on. It would be helpful to have the dimensions... heights, widths, etc. to find one to fit our Kahrs.

I have the HD's on my Glock and on my M&P Shield, the orange on M&P and the yellow on my Glock. LOVE THEM! I prefer the orange, easier for me to see.

Another option at a much lower price. I have Ameriglo i-dot on my Shield and they are very similar to the HD's. I have found that most of my students can use a single dot/post rear and a round front then any other option I present them with.

That sounds about right. I would just get an XS Big Dot put on it, but I'm still enjoying shooting it too much for that right now I've never owned an XS Big Dot, but from what I read it's a difficult sight to shoot accurately, which would make the gun less fun to shoot for me. I'd like to find a set of sights where I can have accuracy, quick pick up, and night capabilities. The HDs seem to be the ticket for that.

Dawson Precision offers both a tritium and fiber optic for kahrs. Anyone tried those?
