I've been eying a Kahr CM9 or PM9 for awhile now to replace my current pocket .380. Saw a used PM9 w/ still good Tru-Dot nite sights and just had to pick it up. Excellent condition with original case and everything, only paid $450 out the door!

Glad I finally decided to pick one up though, shoots alot better than I thought it would. 100 rnds down range so far and the trigger just gets better. Just about ate everything I fed it. Had one FTE on a low quality local reload, but other than that flawless! Ate a couple mags of my carry ammo perfectly so no worries there. Few more range sessions before this enters my carry rotation. :)

zimzim, not only a greatr buy but in my opinion u have the best PM9 kahr makes. U have the old style blunt nose version, which I just have to say is the best of all kahrs made. another nice thing for you is tha tyou can now go to wolffs gunsprings andjust order the outter recoil spring for this gun to. Much much cheaper toi do it that way, buy a 3 pak ad just be doe with it. Great gun, great buy. I think I would still recommend u do the kahr lube chart thing sticky and the propper prepping of ur kahr thread both on the kahr tech section. Just because itis sed doe snot meanall is right,

Welcome to KahrTalk.

I bought my PM9 to replace my .380 pocket carry. The PM9 has largely done that 80% + and has even cut some into my Glock AIWB carry. However, there are still times when only the .380 works for me.

Nice buy there! Welcome aboard.
Stick around, because there is tons of good info here to help and good people too. I'm sure you'll like the forum and the gun.

Welcome. Those Tru Dots really glow in the dark. I want them for my Shield also.
Glad you are happy with your gun.

I think I will "try
to start a blunt nose kahr thread only, being it is the best kahr made it should have its own thread. Just sayin.

Welcome. Good buy. Nothing like several flawless trips to the range to give one confidence in a new carry gun.

First time I noticed how different the PM9 slide is shaped/machined than the CM9, above the engraving. The CM9 has a 45-deg chamfer running all along the top of both sides of the slide, unlike the PM9 .

Now THAT is debatable...just sayin'.

Personally, I prefer the CM9 with the tappered nose (as mine is) as it makes holstering easier. Many people pay extra money to have a 'melt' job done on their guns' slide just for this reason...to mitigate sharp edges the may cause drag. The tappered nose Kahr CM9 gives it to you for free.

I havemore seniority here, so IMO it is not debateable.:D:D U had no choice on the cm9 either. That is not a melt job, that is a TAPER job. If that was all kahr made I would be abletocvuddle up toit but theydidn't start out that way and their allsteel versions and some poly versions are still blunt nose, my question has always been. WHY CHANGE.

now u have two different sets of recoils springs for the guns that orders get fokked up very easily, different barrels and different slides . If it was indeed such a great change why not change the entire line to it??? Just sayin. and of course sometimes ol jocko talks out of his ass alot to.. Just sayin
