I just bought the Sig P938 and absolutely love it. I carry it in a horse hide kydex holster just behind my right hip and it works like a charm.
100 rounds down range without a hiccup and the recoil is mild in my opinion. I was able to dance a water bottle around the range at 10 - 15 yards. Trigger is a little stiff but not too shabby.
I'm a 1911 guy and this little beauty is just too easy to carry. I have a Galco pocket holster that I use for walking the dogs etc.
I just love a single action all metal pistol.

My new EDC!
Take care,

I have my Kahr cw9, but this thing is very much a possible second alternative...
Is that the nightmare color configuration?
Is it SAO> I am Assuming it is...

Yes it is a SAO pistol, just like my 1911s. A positive ambidextrous safety and about a 5.5 lb trigger make it a pleasure to carry and shoot.
It came with a 7 and a 6 round mag. I carry it with the 7.

Sounds like a real nice gun.
I'm a bigot when it comes to manual of arms so it is DAO & no thumb safety for my carry pistols.

I would love to be able to shoot one to see how it compares to my CM9 (not to replace it mind you)...I cut my teeth on the ol slab side as well so it would be a nice addition to the 1911 collection IMO...
Glad to hear that it comes with the two mags, and those grips are really nice...

kinda hard to put a DAO like kahr in the same class as a single actionj, I would think anyhbow.

very true, my favorite trigger types are kahr triggers, and 1911 triggers...I own a few of each, would just like to round out the 1911 collection with a p938...the CM9 will still be riding my belt for sure...

It's a sweet little gun, my fiance owns one. Beautiful and shoots really well.

did they put that awful plastic trigger on it too... I can't wait to shoot one, but i don't see it riding more than my kahrs or glocks. I loved my p238 so I am sure when they come down in price in a year i will snag one up.

I did shoot the SIG 238, which of course was .380. I assume the trigger would be somewhere close if not the same. I thought it held well. It shot better than any .380, I ever shot. Which gives me great hope for the 9mm model.
Im kind of with Bill K, as far as DAO carry pistols.

Was thinking of starting my own thread, but I'll just tag onto this one. It's P938 Review Weekend on the blog.

I've had it riding around in my pocket all day today cocked and locked over an empty chamber just in case folks ask about pocket carry. Really heavy detent on the safety so it should be ok.

Very nice pistol. I never could get used to cocked and locked which is how i ended up with a Kahr but I love the SA ones like this one and the .380 colt too.

Very nice pistols. I'd go c0cked and locked if I were 20 years younger and hadn't done any chemo yet. Now I don't trust myself to carry a SA only pistol, I get too many muscle spasms that might cause a negligent discharge. I love the Kahr trigger, it gives me some "wriggle room" and a muscle spasm isn't going to set it off.
I normally keep my finger off the trigger, just thinking about if I were holding someone for the cops, I'd probably have my finger on the trigger, so the BG would have no doubt that I meant business. I do have a couple of 1911's I use for home protection, but I hope they'll never be used in a defensive situation, and if they were, and it went off accidently, Oops, the BG made a sudden move and I shot him. I figure anyone invading your home deserves whatever they get.

I think the different trigger platforms makes this sport interesting. I carry my PM9 pretty much every day and the long smooth trigger is very comfortable. As I say that I just chambered a round in my Kimber Ultra CDP II to carry to work as a RSO. Go figure.

Although I have eight handguns none of them are SA 1911 style.
Still two of my guns are Sig Sauer (P220/45,P239/357) and
The P938 looks interesting to me.
I'm waiting for the potential teething pains to pass and then check one out.

I wrapped up my range time and review. I'm not one of the lucky ones that got a 100% pistol.

Waking up this old post.. took one home last week.. 200 range ammo and 25 rounds Golden Saber +P. Boring 100%. Shoots straight, good group, and relatively low recoil. Luv it!
$550 bucks BNIB.. with 2 mags, night sights (TFO front - even better), Hogue grips - my favorite, and not-so-useful useful holster , and a free plastic case, LOL .... .. what a bargain.
Holster from Garrity on its way, will be my primary summer carry, my CM9 is taking the back seat.

Yea man these are sweet for sure. I also have both a PM9 & PM45, but I am also a 1911 Whoe....LOL and an equal opportunity offender! I do love a single action trigger. Don't worry "Airborne" that trigger does lighten up some after either a couple hundred rounds down range or some dry firing.
The P238 did the same thing and I did get to speak with the Sig Rep last year and he told me the same thing. Since the safety truly blocks the hammer and is very positive, carrying cocked and locked is no problem with a good holster. Mine is in my pocket as we speak.
Now for more serious social work I go with my 45 because shooting twice is just silly.

I was in market for small bug and looked very serious at these. I settled on a Nano at the end. Felt the price was a factor and Nano's have good reviews.
