Which demonstrates that guns are not actually the most important thing in life for most males, which I think is already pretty well known.

Besides the girl and car, it would also be interesting to do some similar experiments where the distractions were things like a juicy steak dinner or a big pile of $100 bills.

I think you might be right. I checked the MRI website to see if it was an advertising picture and didn't see it but that don't mean it's not there.
Pictures not clear enough for me to tell for sure.

Interesting item, never would have seen duty.

I'm seeing a 1911 frame, with period grip safety and hammer, but a lowered ejection port on the slide, complete with 1911a1 sights. They almost got it right... almost.
