On the off chance that anyone missed me, I just got back from the 15th reunion of the crew of the USS Nitro AE-2/23. The reunion was held in Milwaukee, Wis and I'm here to tell you that it ain't true what they say about cheese heads. As a part of the festivities we watched a graduation ceremony of new Navy recruits and toured the Great Lakes Navel Training Center. Rest assured that the military fate of our nation is in good hands. These kids were all 4.0 and squared away. It's been 40 years since I wore the uniform, but listening to the Navy band play our National Anthem still sends a chill up my spine. If any of you military types get a chance to reunite with your units, don't pass it up. A good time was had by all.

damn so close to the Harley Museum even. glad ur back, I missed u, if that helps any, for most it is a curse when I say that to.

can I bet that navy uniform 40 years ago woulod no longer fit u today???Just sayin

Glad you had a good trip. My son's wedding is going to be my vacation this year. Spending my vacation money on it and their gift anyway.

We toured the Harley Museum as a pat of the trip along with the Milwaukee Brewers Stadium. Because they thought we sailors could use a little culture we also visited the Art Museum. When I wore the uniform I weighed 135 lbs. I could still fit half of me into it now. :)
