how do I take off side plate?

I took out the little screw and want to clean trigger bar and rest of gun so I can apply ezzox on moving parts. I don't want to start forcing parts to come off. I smacked the gun by the side of side plate like you would on a j frame to get their side plate off, but plate just barley comes out on rear side of plate. Goo advice would really be appreciated, Thanks.

It just pops right out. stick a little screwdriver under the backside of that thing and gently lift. It will come right out. It has a little tab holding it in.
