I want to ask the experts your thoughts on the Kahr E9. I have an opportunity to buy one for about $350. Is that a good deal? Owner says it has not been used much since he bought it in 1996. About 250 rounds through it. Considering it for a belt carry. Would I be better off looking at one of the newer ones like a CW9 or K9? Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

The ones I've handled are excellent. I would not be afraid to buy/own one at all. $350 is a good price ... not an unheard of steal of a deal ... but a fair and favorable price from what I've seen. The E9 has the same great trigger as other Kahrs ... just not some of the fancies as the K9. I know one friend that it is his EDC and he loves it.

correct me if I am wrong but most E9's are carbon steel not stainless. Other than that, shoot it like u stole it. Good gun, just maybe alittle more tcl needed. Not sure if the E9's are scalloped frames like the K9's toay are. Been a long time since I have seen an E9. someof the 4um members here own it and can give u more details.

Comparing a E9 for $350, (and because they are available right now), I would suggest looking to get one of the thousands of police trade K9s from CDNN instead. CDNN is selling them for only $299... a steal. IMHO a slightly better and newer Kahr for a better price.
