I had came back from shooting at the range the other day and while cleaning I found little dent in the "pick up ramp". I am not really sure what to call it. Should I be worry about this causing jams?

Sorry for the bad picture but it is at the top of the ramp.

EMT:

That dimple was put there by the factory. I believe that it signifies a design change.

how many rounds do you have through it? mine has about 600 and has some small marks on the inside of the slide. looks to me like there isn't a lot to worry about here as long as it still functions. if it does as jocko would say "shoot it like you stole it"

Thank you for the fast reply but that isn't the dent I was trying to picture. Here is a better picture I attempted to take. It's on the ramp itself above the strikers.

I have 400 rounds through it and so far its been shooting perfectly. And I am just worried that this just appeared and don't want it becoming larger

Ok. Beats me. Here come the words that are the hardest for men to say......

I don't know. Some one may be along shortly that might know.

Oh and by the way. WELCOME TO THE FORUM.

It looks like a manufacturing ding and should not be a problem. If it really bothers you, the ramp can be polished with some 800 grit wet dry paper. I do this to all my autoloaders as part of the "fluff and buff" operation before I shoot them. I find that it reduces the need for a break in period.

Zero issues there!

New gun is something special... I understand the worry.
It probably didn't just get there, but was just noticed. Could be factory firing, lube, whatever... even the lighting conditions, obscured that little dingus. Its a non issue.
The big dimple is a hardness test. Reading up (quick edit), or at least I THOUGHT it was a hardness test... maybe I be wrongo!

I can't see anything...and as long as there isn't a bur that would catch anything, then I wouldn't worry about it.

It's OK, probalby left that way from the factory. the pickup bar merely moves trhe next round into the chamber. That dent has nothing todo kwith anything. Just shoot it like u stole it kand forget about it. Only thing that dent might catcvh is ur attention and nothing else.
