Just got PM45 back from Kahr, all feeding issues resolved, eats everything nicely. I did, however, have three light strikes on the different rounds of different manufacture, one Corbon DPX, one Hornady, one RangerT.
Is this something that can be cured by a spring? All primer hits were dead center and fired the second time. I hate to send back again. Could there be any connection between repair and light strikes? The slide was worked and ramp polished by factory because of stovepipes.

My light strike issue with the CW9 went away after installing a bit heavier recoil spring from www.gunsprings.com. They make the Kahr factory springs.

I sent an email to the gunsmith at Kahr who did the work, great guy, I should add. I asked if it would be something I could change or handle. Last return on this pistol cost me 80 bucks or so. I declined the return label and thought it would be a lot cheaper.
It's to the point that the return cost and the range ammo to make the gun ccw reliable is approaching the cost of the gun. I'm a little tweaked, but have great faith in Kahr customer service and that they will make it right. Maybe he could send me springs or something.

They did send me a set of springs the first time it happened...no charge. It worked for awhile but started doing it again. This time I went ahead and purchased a little heavier recoil spring direct from Wolff. They were 2# heavier than OEM. The problem went away. [I know that Kahr uses Wolff Springs]
The Wolff springs were a hell-of-a-lot cheaper than sending the gun to Kahr.

sometimes if that slide is just a tad out of battery, ur gonna get lightstrikes. a new recoil spring sometimes takes care of that issue. That would be the first thing I would check and do, and I certainly would make sure that striker channel is spiffy clean and then if it persists, I would call kahr and this time insist they issue a pickup on ur new gun. I think it is oure b.s. that anyone has to pay $80 to send a damn gun in to them. Doesn'thappen often but if a round is out of speck meaning OAL maybe a tad to long, it can keep the slide from fully returning to battery andur gonna get light strikes.
at best kahr could issue a pckup and then billyou for the shipping to them, as they get a much much lower price to return a gun. If the gun IMO is basically new and by that I mean maybe a year or so old then I think the company should pick up the tab. Just my thoughts
sharptop. what recoil springs did u order for your kahr, I can't find any recoil sprigs from wolffs for any cw or PM45. IMO they need to get off the pot and certainly offer springs for the kahr cw series. damn how popular does a gun have to get before they get of ftheir lazy asses and start putting out springs..
clean clean and clean... also... make sure you're getting the LONG recoil spring.. since they did make a shorter slide version up until.. 2010 or so.

To be fair to them, I declined the return label, it was second trip back and I thought it would be 20 bucks or so. After filling out all sorts of paperwork at Fedex, I was given the bill!! Too late then, I had already sealed the package. My bad.

Jocko, the recoil spring was for a K9/K40, extra power, 22#. Stock recoil spring was, I believe 20#. I think a striker spring was included, but I had already changed that. I was surprised that the K9 and K40 used the same springs. I've probably fired 400 rds. with no issues with the heavier spring.
This leads me to believe that MK series springs are the same for PM series guns. I figured that the steel slides would for sure use heavier recoil springs, but I guess that's not the case.
Sorry for hi-jacking the thread for the Jocko follw up.
