Third trip to the range shooting my CW45 today. Shot 100 rounds of 230 gr. FMJ and it was PERFECT. Everything has smoothed out and not one problem.

Shot 30 185 gr. JHP and had 1 slide release issue bit it was ammo related. The HP was a bit wide on some old Federal I was shooting. I'll get me some gold dots next as that was what I planned to use.

This gun is a keeper. Get one while they are hot.

I have had my new CW45 for about a month now and I have about 250 rounds through it. I have had several failure to eject problems and a few times the slide did not seat properly. The majority of the rounds fired were 230 grain FMJ and about 30 Hornady Zombie loads. (not a good choice for this gun by the way.) I had a live zombie load get stuck in the chamber. I called Kahr and they didn't want to point any fingers but they recommended for me to change ammunition. Hornady on the other hand told me they have had complaints about this happening more often then not in the Kahr pistols.
I did end up getting the round out, but I think I will just use another self defense round in the future... I guess I'm babbling now, and all I really wanted to post is how helpful Kahr talk really is. If it wasn't for you guys posting all of the constructive criticism and use full tips on kahr pistols I probably would have sold it after the first time I took it out... So thank you to everybody on this forum and thanx for all your help.

Welcome to the forum and it's good to have you here. Did you see these 2 sticky's:

On what you mentioned on the slide seating properly, did it not all the way go forward when feeding a round? If so check the top feed lips on the magazine. Mine were real sharp and if I loaded rounds in the mag and tried to push them out with my thumb they would hang and cut into the edge of the rim of the shell casing. I smoothed the sharp top edges with some 600 grit sand paper and the rounds are smooth going in and out. Also since doing that mine now feeds good when hand cycling the slide, even when doing it slowly.

Don't give up on that CW45. It's a good one.

Mine doesn't like the 185 grain Hornady ammo, will shoot it but you can't get an unfired round out without a lot of force.I'll just run a different ammo 230 gr hp seem to run good.

won't come out due to the slide not wanting to retract easily, then IMO the OAL length of that rund is getting into the riflying grooves . Wi9se idea to just change brands and move on IMO. Just sayin

I just finished sanding the mag like you mentioned. I will take it out in a few days and let you know how it goes.

Like I was saying about this sight being so awesome, if I had not found it I would have sold the pistol. But it feels so good in my hand! I am going to tweek it a bit and it sounds like I will be happy with the results... I purchased some federal hydra shock 165 gr. and I see how the Kahr handles those. I will post on that next week.

These things require a minimum breakin, but that's for just starters. The more you shoot them the better they get. Mine didn't like HST until it broke in. They'd hang on the ramp and a good pop on the slide would chamber them. I polished up things and the slide became glass smooth and it loves HST and everything else.

Yep, what old lincoln said, they do require a bit of breakin and tolerances are tight with them being so small I've found out. After my range trip yesterday I'm still really sold on Kahr. They have ran as well or better from the get go better than about anything else I have.

If they came out with an all metal MK45 I think I may have to get it too. (shhhh.... don't tell my wife.)
