I bought a used Black PM9 about a month ago and was not feeding properly. After trying a few different things, I discovered that the slide stop was hitting the rounds on the way into the chamber. I filed it down and 300-400 rounds later, it's still good to go...no failures.
The down side is that I filed it too much and the slide won't lock on the last round. Obviously, an easy fix but i'm carrying it that way for now.
Thanks to Jocko for all the help.

I would call kahr and ask for a new slide stop, I do think they will send u one NC. Just tell them ur rounds are hitting the slide stop lever. Ask for Jay at kahr.
some semi's don't lock open on the last round by design, so if u can live with it that way and it works perfect and ur not carrying a spare mag either. maybe something not to worry about either.

My feelings exactly. I will make that call to Jay at some point but for now it's running good and i'll leave it as is.
I really love the way this gun fits me and I shoot it quite well. A little rough at first but $350.00 for a 2009 model Black PM9 isn't too bad of a deal I think.
I expect it to keep running good.

Make sure you are not gripping the gun with your thumb resting against the slide stop. I am a long time 1911 shooter and my thumb rides the safety/slide stop on all my guns just by habit. Most of them will not lock back on the last shot if I put the slightest pressure against it.

I had a similar issue with P380, so I filed it down too far. I sent Jay an email and they sent me a new stop for free.

While troubleshooting some feeding issues, I discovered the slide stop was hitting the rounds. Long story short;), I filed it too much. No more feeding issues! For now, I can live with the slide not locking on the last round of a carry gun as long as it fires reliably.
Thanks for your input.
