Thats almost 6 extra pounds!!
For some reason I can carry heavy full sized autos and extra mags
easily and comfortably, cross draw, out side the waist band inside the belt
like that. With balanced ammo on the other side of the gun.
If I try to conceal any other way the P220 is ridiculously large and heavy.
With other modes of carry a prefer a 20/25 oz compact and two re-loads.
My Glock G27 or Kahr MK40 Elite.

I'm going to be putting together a "get-home-belt" for my wife to put on if she has to resort to a folding bike in the trunk of her car to get home. I haven't decided on a belt, yet, but I did order a Mini-Clip from Cross Breed for her P380. She doesn't wear a belt with her pants, but they have belt loops, though if she's in danger, I don't want her stopping to thread the belt and the various pouches and holster properly. I plan on putting a double mag holder and a few other items... pepper spray for sure. I think that would be a nice deterrent to anyone or anything chasing after her.
She just got laid off at work and so I don't know if she will be closer or farther away from home at a new job, but it WAS 9 miles away. Whatever belt we decided on will have to be comfortable and not chafe too bad on her waist, and keep the gear secure and high for some concealment under her shirt. I'm not sure how this will be accomplished, yet. I think a modest "tactical vest" would be nice, but a little startling to anyone seeing her.

You have a point there. Balanced carry in the front rides very well. I can Appendix carry easier than 4 o'clock.

Would'nt a fanny pack cover most of that. Nice leather, lots of storage, you can get the gun, reloads, flashlight and pepper spray in one easy to sling on package.
Just saying...

+1 on that !! Most I could ever run was a 10k (about 6 miles) and that was back when I was in my 20's. In my 50's now but can still squeeze out a 5k now and again.
