As many of you may already know, I'm a new Kahr owner and still feeling things out. As I am in the break in process, I shoot a lot all at once. (At least 100 rounds before a break.) I also enjoy taking my wife shooting with me and she brings her Mossberg 500. My question is that when my wife shoots my P40, she complains about the grip hurting after just a few rounds. I don't necessarily have a problem with it, but I do see how it bothers her. Are they any great ideas out there to make it a bit more comfortable, and still functional in a holster?! Thanks.

Qwik Grips are fairly nice looking and very comfortable. You can test the concept by using a piece of bicycle inner tube as a cheap grip cover. For some people, that's all they need to make them happy.

Here's are links to the three sizes available at Midway. I suspect you would need a size 2.

Size 2 - http://www.midwayusa.com/product/848986/lone-wolf-qwik-grip-2-with-finger-grooves-glock-19-30-polymer-black

Finger bump grip sleeves also work well to improve the feel. The Hogue Handall Jr is an example. Pachmayr makes them too.

A minimalist approach that I discovered is to put one carefully trimmed strip of hockey tape on the cheese grater on the back of the gripframe. (I also put one on the front grater on my CM9.) It is cloth tape that sticks well and stays put. The color blends perfectly with the frame and you have to look close to see it. You can still see the little bumps, but they don't bite anymore.

I like the Talon Grips. I couldn't get the the Hogue finger bump in a place where it felt comfortable when used with the Crimson Trace.

Pictures?! I'm curious to know how that turned out for you!

(I would also like to know how everyone is embedding their photos directly to the forums.)

I think you may need a certain number of posts.

My CM9 is at the gunsmith's right now getting a sight installed. I will try and post a pic of my TCP later today.

The way I post pics is upload them to Photobucket, mouse over the image, select the Direct Link, come over here to the Post Edit Window, select the Picture Icon (http://i1230.photobucket.com/albums/ee486/John_England/Misc/PictureIcon.jpg), paste the link in there and hit Enter. If I am pulling a picture from some other website, I right click it and select Copy Image Location, then post the same way.

I too use Photobucket, but I use a slightly different routine to post a picture.
* Hold cursor over the photo, (drop down menu appears), and copy the IMG link
* Paste the link into the body of my post.

Obviously both methods work, and there are probably several others that achieve the desired result.

Hogue slip on that I put on upside down. Less than $10 retail. Be sure to cut out to allow mag release to work without restriction. I slid a piece of matchbook cover under it to protect the factory grip while I carefully cut as needed with a razor blade.

Trouble with this is you have to Preview Post or Submit Reply to see how your picture is going to look. Doing it my way, you see your picture immediately while you are still editing the post.

I've never used your method so I don't know the advantages it offers, but as far as knowing what the picture looks like... I already know. I took it. :D

But seriously... I have on occation "borrowed" a photo from Photbucket, and upon opening the post see that is is either enormous, small or not quite appropriate. I'll have to attempt your method for those times when I'm not sure what exactly will appear. :typing:

Jason, that is an attachment method I have never used because it severely limits picture size. Here is the way I do it after having uploaded pictures to a Photobucket account.

my qwik grip looks like it was made to fit my cm9, most people don't even notice there is an additional grip because like the picture posted, it matches so well.

Cool! Glad we could help, sorry for the slow acknowledgement.

And, thanks for posting the size information that worked on your CM9.

That should help others. http://home.mindspring.com/%7Ejustsomeguy/thumbsup.gif

Took TucsonMTB advice last week and got the Size 3 for my CM9.. PERFECT! Shot it again today. 200 rounds... Perfect pistol and grip!!! What a difference a Quick Grip made on the hand. Eliminated the "cheese-grader" as some say..

Yeah, and it fits real nice. No palm swells or finger grooves. Mine moves ever so slightly during a long range session. I just move it back when I'm done. I like that I can handle my gun with any kind of 2 finger grip and never drop it.

Whoops! Yeah, mine did that too. Rolling the edge back far enough to place a piece of double backed tape under the Qwik Grip on my PM40 before letting it snap back into place eliminated the movement completely . . . making me forget all about it.

I've got some of that tape. I'll give it a try. Thanks! :D
