CM9 Field Strip Question

Hopefully I’m explaining this correctly.



Noticed this the last couple times I went to clean the CM9. After removing the take down lever I go to press the trigger (which allows the upper section to slide off the frame) I get no “click” on the trigger pull. Frame will not slide off. Have to push the top section forward while pulling the trigger several times before it finally lets it slide off. Didn’t do this the first few times. Trigger pull gave a click and it would slide right off. Now it’s like I almost have to force it apart.


Any ideas or suggestions?

Maybe the trigger wasn't reset before you tried pulling the trigger. The slide doesn't always slide right off with one click, but repeated tries have always worked.

There are two cocking cams in the frame near the back. If the slide is stopping less than an inch beyond the back of the frame, you can see those cams. On my CM9, I find I sometimes have to jiggle the trigger to get the cams to lay down and let the back of the slide go past them.

After pulling the trigger move the slide as far forward as it will go and then release the trigger.
I’ve never had it hang up doing this.
