I'm surprised this hasn't been started in this forum. It appears as though Williams used a Kahr P380 to defend these people. The article only says ".380 semi auto" but you can obviously see the stainless slide in the last bit of the video.

Anyway, good for him! If more perps had things like this happen, they would think twice about robbing.

If it was a P380, did you notice it didn't miss a beat? No jams, FTF, FTE, etc...

No doubt that at one point during the engagement, the gun weilding BG did point his gun at the 71yr old shooter. That makes it "standing his ground" as I see it.

Small and two tone, looks like a P380 to me (shrug). Glad everyone made it out ok, even the two idiot BGs.

It never ceases to amaze me how tuogh thugs are when they are the only ones armed. Assoon as someone else levels the playing feild they turn and run like the B#%$@#$% they are. Nicely played Mr. Williams when I am 71 I want to be just like you.

One thing we forget, is how woefully inadequate any pistol is at stopping the bad guys.

You wanna stop 'em - dead in their tracks? Use a 12 gauge with some heavy birdshot at close range. Use a rifle at intermediate range. The pistol...or revolver is a defensive make-do weapon. I hate to admit it, but it is.

He was lucky that only one BG had a gun. It would have been a little dicier had both BG's been armed and one returned fire... all of the bystanders!

Wynn:)

and had that happened the hole mood of the ol man being a hero might have changed to..This crime worked out very goodf ro the good guys and not so good for the bad guys. We should be thankful for that...

I'm fairly sure it's a P380 because of a couple things.

First, the slide is obviously stainless. I'm not sure what other ones are stainless from the factory besides like a Taurus subcompact. But then again, this one looks much more boxey than a Taurus.

Second, he fired 6 rounds (or maybe I lost count) and the slide didn't lock back. So if it was a P380, he was carrying +1 in condition 1.

Besides that, from the last view it just looks like a P380. But then again, no jams so maybe it isn't? :p

In other comments, notice his trigger discipline. As soon as they are gone and he's done shooting, his finger is outside the trigger guard. You can tell he's been shooting a while.
