I have a old style P40 purchased used. I took it out shooting for the second time this weekend. The first time i shot it i noticed a little pin on the left side of of the frame next to the trigger. It's on the on the bottom hump under the trigger pin. It's not in the schematics i looked at. It was barely sticking out beyond the surface the first time,so i left it alone. The second time i went shooting it i noticed it was sticking out maybe a 1/4" roughly, maybe less. I pushed it back in MOST of the way with just my finger.

Is this factory? Are their issues with these if they are? Is it repairable? I looked with a magnifying glass and didn't noticed any cracks in the frame around it or anything.

that pin is whgat really holds the trigger pin from moving out. It has worked its way down a tad. get a small punch the size of tha tpin and knock it back up and if it travels down again then put sime super glue ojn it and then drive it back up in there. Mine did that until I put a drop of super glue on it. Most never move , those that do, normally do the above. If it was mine I would shoot it until pin moves out about a 1/4" and then put a drop of super glue on it and drive it home. It need not go back to kahr IMO. It is not a part number either,

I'd wrap the gun in duct tape or use a little bailing wire. Hell, it's only the trigger were talking about.

Super glue? I should just use some bubble gum. F&$^ it,it's cheaper.

Kahr should just include a repair kit and how to repair manual with their guns. A file, polishing kit, some super glue what else? Mag followers.

Only on my Kahr have i seen so many problems. I need to just glue it and trade for something thats more reliable, like a Glock or a M&P,gassssp:behindsofa: Am i gonna get stoned for saying that on a Kahr forum? Seriously though thats what i get for buying a used gun although it has still left a bad taste in my mouth. I'm going take it back to the f*&^ing pawn shop that sold me the P.O.S. in the first place.

Just messin' with you, Jocko. I'm sure that the super glue would work just fine. My old man once told me that he got to be an old man by not messin' with any old men. That's sage advice, but sometimes I just can't help myself. Feel free to send me a horse head. :)

Yeah, right. Kahr is the only manufacturer who doesn't make 100% reliable guns, 100% of the time, even when it is a used gun. Get real!

Sell it. It is obviously not for you. Shoot, I'll give you $100 for that P.O.S.

Jocko ,i wasn't insulting your answer at all. i appreciate it believe it or not. I was laughing at muggsy's reply is why i said the bubble gum comment.
I'm just disappointed is all,i think i have a right. After all it's my hard earned money. I think if it were any of the other guys here they would feel the same and loose trust in that firearm.

And no it's not the first gun i've owned that i said was P.O.S. The first was a Taurus PT111 the second was a custom built AR-15 and the third well the Kahr.

no problem. do what u deem best. U come on here with an issue, we gave u answers and fixes, which are absolutley no brainers. U have no clue as to what was even done to this gun before u eve rbought it even and ur hammeing kahr over it. This issue u stated is so so so rare to even occur that most follow the advice given and just move on. If u have lost faith take it back. u never mentioned in your shooting of it that it malfunctioned or anything, so I am gonna assume that part was OK.

Moe tha nlikely if u just found a smallpunch the size of that pin and hit it one time to setit back whereit belongs, all will be Ok also

U know that is why they ake smileys on this forum for to, so one can possably see ur funin. I now if I bought ur kahr andit fired and worked ok that little piddly issue u brought up would certainy not hinder me from wanting to own the gun. But that is just me, and I tend to look at an issue in the sense of "can I fix it myself" and just move on or does it have to go back to the factory.
