After decades around handguns as a soldier, competitor and instructor, I researched Kahrs by shooting some owned by others and by reading reviews and posts on this site. A used CW40 came my way in a trade. I detail stripped the slide to see what was there and look for gunk. The design and function of the striker and extractor were clear when seen directly, and the striker channel was over-lubricated and dirty. Seeing inside the receiver clarified comments that detail stripping is unnecessary. I cleaned everything and lubed as per the chart here. At the range, there were three failures to chamber fully with the first magazine of reloads, then 150 trouble-free rounds with everything from 180 grain FMJ's to CorBon and Underwood very hot 135 grain JHP's. The trigger is similar to one in a good revolver. The sights improved when I blacked out the white dot on the rear and opened up the notch with a safe-edge file. The next trip will be to settle on a round for a 50-yard zero. I am grateful to members of this forum who have posted useful information about Kahrs.
