Not that I want anyone to be harmed, but I do hope a day comes where this fine young woman is scared for her life...and WISHES she had a way to defend herself. I'm curious how that free speech and right to assemble will protect her from a gang banger or thief?

yeah, but in the unfortunate event that she is ever raped, robbed, beaten and left for dead, she can wrtie a scathing article on the sins of American society for letting the poor punk slip through the cracks in proper indoctrination of communalism .... I'm sure that would be the action she would take:rolleyes:

All of those other rights would have been gone by now if the second was not there to defend them.

The Bill of Rights was bitterly faught over by the Founding Fathers. Some wanted it included some did not. There was also a large contention over the order of the rights. The FF got it right.

I wonder how these idiot sevants belive that once they up and give away any of their constiutional rights that, somehow, the rest won't fall like domminos...
Demonize one out of existance and someone, of power, will demonize all of them gone.

I have to agree with her. The right to keep and bear arms isn't on the same level. It's head and shoulders above our other rights. It should have been our first amendment.

It should have been our first amendment.

Coulda, would, shoulda. A group of men who had a collective intelligence exceeding the folks discussing the issue, put together the Constituion in the order and manner in which they choose for very valid reasons.

There is a reason the second ammendment is the second ammendment, and not farther down the list. It's that important and our forefathers knew that. She apparently thinks she has all the answers and is smarter than they were. Hope for her sake some scumbag never knocks her rose colored glasses off and she needs protection from some gun owner who values his right to keep and bear arms.

That happened to my ex-DIL several years ago. Unfortunately she has never recovered enough to be able to get a CHL, or even use a firearm.

However, that tragedy spurred her mother to arm herself - She carries 3 pistols when she is traveling - one in her car, one in her CC purse and one on her person.

Lou Dobbs had two women on who said they support the 2 but no one needed or should have more than 1 gun. And no so called military weapons.

I just wish they'd left the part about the militia out of the 2nd amendment so there would be no confusion. I have a guy arguing with me that since the founding fathers had no idea there would be people with AK47's "capable of mowing down 100's of people in under a minute" that we should only be allowed muskets. The idiot didn't even know there were rifles back then. Although he probably doesn't know the difference. I suppose he meant we should be allowed only muzzle loaded weapons.

Tell that guy he should give up his computer and do all his correspondence with a quill pen.

Just tell your buddy that alot of folks kept artillery around back then, that should shut him up on the whole assault rifle garbage argument. Plus, if you can get him to agree that the Federalist papers led to much of the Constitution (which they did), and that part of the purpose of the 2A was for the people to protect themselves from a tryranically gov't (which is was/is), then he has to conceed that in order to do that, you have to match firepower. Furthermore, if he want's to argue that people shouldn't have the same firepower/quality of firearm as LEO or Mil, then point out that most every citizen had a better rifle than any state or federal issued firearm at the founding of our nation.
