View Full Version : Primer strike....does this look normal?

This is from a CM40. I fired a few rounds today at lunch time. This is the same gun that fails to consistantly eject unfired rounds.
Maybe I've never payed attention before, but check the primer strike. It looks like the firing pin is dragging when the spent case is ejected.
Is this normal, or am I going to experience a firing pin failure in the near future?

no offense meant but ther 4eis some real do's and don'ts in kahrs owners manual. Most tend to read them after the damage is done. Alot of striker fired guns will have primer swipe. Glocks do for sure and course if u read the glock forum, it it shoots turds out the front of the barrel, that is normal. Just sayin

No no no..none taken. In fact, I pulled up the online manual, and one of the last pages does clearly describe this.. so, really I was thanking you.
And no...I didn't read that page prior to today.
:D
