A few years ago I became enveloped in the 1911 ether.:o

I had matching Combat Commanders built in .45ACP and 9mm.

I've come to my senses since then and shoot the 9mm in IDPA matches.

.45ACP is gone to finance a Colt CCO.

Thanks!

Almost identical.

Sold the .45ACP and shot the 9mm today.

I'm more of the "workhorse" than the "work of art" 1911 type.

Remember when it wasn't "a 1911", but simply a ".45"

Times have changed.

I hear ya.

The 9mm's become a workhorse and gets shot a lot.

The CCO, on the other hand, is pretty but gets carried and shot a lot, too.

I mean, it just doesn't make sense to me to defend myself with a homely handgun. :D

Not for poor guys like me! My 1911's are all used guns and although rather handsome, all three together cost much less than one (admittedly very elegant) Wilson.

Now, if I win a big lottery . . .

Yeah, sure, kid. . . .

Nothing at all wrong with Twinkies in 9mm and 45.

Agreed, but purty don't have to mean expensive.

I've spent less money on those two at the top than the cost of one custom Wilson. :p
