In my original post, I was looking for an optic for my Colt 6920, and ended up with an Eotech EXPS3-4, which gives me perfect 1/3 lower co-witenss with my BUIS. I'm liking this thing!

I also purchased a Streamlight TLR-1s 160 lumen weapon light with strobe. This is a cool little light. Waterproof & shockproof. Although I am typically a Surefire man, I am impressed with this low-profile light. I mounted it underneath to keep the rifle proportional, and I am not getting barrel shadow in the sight picture. I highly recommend this light for a pistol, shotgun, or rifle.

I had to give up the 2-point sling for the light, so I am getting a good 1-point mount and sling, and I think that's about all I am going to do to her.

If the single point sling is at all awkward, have you considered mounting the light on the side of the foregrip?

Just a thought and probably not useful, but I had to ask.

I also like the TLR products, and positioned right in front of the grip makes it thumb accessible.

That was the first place I mounted it... close up front. What I did not like about it was it just stuck off of the hand guard too much for me. Underneath keeps the profile thinner, which I like. BUT I also prefer a 2 pt sling. It's a work in progress, so I might change it around.

NICE AR!

With that shorter barrel, you don't get the barrel shadow, aka the d!(k of death, on the ceiling! So do you like the laser on yours?

I just got back from the range and dialed the Eotech in at 50 yds to a 1" grouping. That's good enough for me until I get a magnifier. I couldn't get my wife to shoot the AR or my 629.

You wouldn't have to give up your 2 point sling. With your front sight you could use a front sight sling mount. Their are multiple designs and companies that make them just Google it. Here is an example of the rectangular style that I prefer.

I like the light/laser combo.

Prescription lens' don't make for a quick iron sight acquisition in the dark. ;)

YES!!! That is what I need! Too much stuff out there for an AR. It's overwhelming!

Oh I know that feeling. I'm basically blind without the contacts or specs
