i watched this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uru-NXj31uI
and it makes me nervous,
Regardless of how some of you feel about this particular youtuber, is it really as bad as he makes it seem?
Are we going to lose our guns?

i understand that everyone can make a you tube video,
however my question is , is it really as bad as he makes it seem?
I haven't heard a whole lot about this issue anywhere else. i have done some research (admittedly not a lot) and can't really find a lot on this particular issue.
so is it a non issue that this person is trying to blow out of proportion or what?

The issue is real, but any treaty has to be ratified by the U.S. Senate. It isn't likely to be attempted before the election. That's why it's important to vote for candidates that support your right to keep and bear arms. If you were a member of the NRA you would have been informed of this issue long ago.

According to D!ck Morris, the treaty will be in effect until the Senate votes on it, or it's revoked by the President. I guess the plan is to not vote on it until close too or after the elections and see how things turn out. So it will be in effect for at least a few months. My fear is that this could lead to some rather unpleasant reactions. Particularly if they try to enforce some parts of the treaty before it's voted on by the Senate.

This is part of the no gun,one law,one goverment the UN and its cronies have been trying to push through since cofee and a dounut was president. I fear if we do not vote out the current uber liberal knuckleheads we have in power now, we may not have firearms within your childs life. This is a fight to win struggle that we must win or soon the US will look like some backwater African town ruled by thugs in techs administring the local brand of justice. Vote in Nov. it may be the most inportant thing you have done in a long time.

For years, we have slowly given up our civil liberties for the "better" of the country, but in the last decade, and especially the last year, we have seen our values and rights stripped at lightspeed. If one does not think there is a plan in action to tear down the structure of America, they are a fool.
Please read this (http://www.truthorfiction.com/rumors/k/Kitty-Werhmann.htm) account by Kitty Werthermann to see how a free nation dies.

If any of you have served in combat in a third world country Kitty Wetehermanns words describe what happens when the citizens of that country are disarmed by their goverment , lied to, sold out and taken advantage of. The hoplesness, despair, pain and unbelivable brutality are a daily thing these people endure. The only way you stop the wolf is to kill it and without a gun your just meat.

Even if nothing happens immediately, this treaty will open the door to more gun control!
And not by just our government, but by other UN countries. Have you heard about Iran's involvement in this? I definitely do not trust Iran's motives, do you!!!
Hell I don't trust any of those foreign rat bastards, in fact as of late I don't even rust our own government. The ultimate intent is to disarm everyone so that they can control the masses and keep the power. Our founding fathers knew that very well hense the second ammendment. the real reason for the 2nd ammendment was not for sporting purposes or recreation or even self protection from bad guys it was to keep the power in the hands of the people...remember "We the people" Even Jefferson made many comments toward that end and was very clear in what he said.
In my way of thinking gun control is the ability to hit what you are aiming at...end of story.
Looks like at the last minute the US decided not to sign the UN Arms Trade Treaty (UN ATT):

Yeah I think it's good news, however I do find it odd that no news organization has picked this up yet. You'd think they would. But Gottlieb set up his own UN NGO (non-governmental organization) and he's a co-founder of the SAF so he has street cred running in these circles. I just find it as I said odd.
Related, here's a short but very enlightening overview from the Heritage Foundation of why a treaty, even though not ratified by the Senate, might still have a legal effect on us:

If the State Dep't has made that decision they are keeping silent about it.

Just finished watching the news and didn't see anything about this. I dreaded today and was a bit dismayed that very few people at work even knew what may have happened today. I truly hope this is the truth.

Overseas sources are report that the US has refused to sign and there governments are not happy. It is not likely you will see the USA media report this.

Yup, confirmed dead: http://www.nraila.org/get-involved-locally/grassroots/grassroots-alerts/2012/vol-19,-no-30-07272012.aspx?s=&st=&ps=
I think at the last minute the Obama Administration didn't want the buzz saw leading into a tight reelection campaign.

Obama has already leaked his gun control intentions if he is reelected. God forbid that!
