I just purchased a new Karh CM9 from gunbroker.com. Won an 'No Reserve' auction and paid $356 including shipping for my first Karh. Can't beat that price. After much debate between this gun and a Glock 26 I chose the Kahr. because of the size and positive feedback online. Also, I dry fired one at a LGS and the trigger felt the best of all the pocket 9's that are on the market. Not as short as the Glock 26 but does not feel like a double action gun at all. I own many weapons from Kimber 1911's to several full frame Glocks but this is my first compact gun that I purchased to be my daily carry weapon. The only concern that I have is the prep or break-in required for the gun. After watching a video on youtube I got most of it down but they said to reference Kahr Talk for the specific instructions on proper gun prep. Where in this forum can I find the instructions for proper prep. Can someone list a link? Also, other than the prep, is there anything that I should know about Kahr's? Are they picky with certain ammo? Please reply with any thing that I may need to know about this gun. As my daily carry weapon I am trusting my life on this weapon so I hope I wont experience any reliability issues.

choosing a kahr over a glock. kudos to u. This is the forum to come to, also. look up the threads posted for u also. They willhelp make that first shoot a fun one. Ur right about one thing the kahr trigger system is as good as u will find anywhere. It is looooooong by design but again no safety or other bull sh!t to mess with either. The CM9 is definitely a tried and proven semi to..
Take an hour to do the propper prep thread and the kahr lube chart threqad. I will be the best mostproductive hour u can give your gun IMO>

Congrats on your CM9. Best of luck with your new Kahr.
My PM9 has replaced most of my pocket .380 carry and for sure has bitten into my warm weather Glock 26 carry. We'll see come fall and winter how much Glock 26 carry is left.

Just got back from range and not a single falure. Shot all 200 rounds flawlessly. Very impressed and happy with purchase. Had some issues with mag release and posted a thread to see if what I experienced was typical. Kahr makes a great gun.

Thanks for these stickies on the prep - just picked up my new CM-9 and followed the owner's manual and these stickies - haven't had a chance to fire it yet, but it seems to feed and cycle by hand smoothly
