So long as the dems don't get another liberal judge on the court, there's hope in this.

Thanks for the update Chief. I guess we need to pray for the health and safety of the Constructionist Judges.

Is it just me, or did that little article have a bit of an anti-gun twist?
Being in Texas, I feel somewhat priviledged. We just don't experience the same anti-gun sentiment (in general) here that some of you folks do. And, we are improving our condition, and reclaiming our RKBA here with each legislative session. I've had a bad feeling concerning the opening of the pandora's box that the "incorporation of the 14th" will bring, particularly in other non-gun related issues. Personally, I am a strong defender of the 10th Amendment and believe that State's Rights are extremely important. If the citizens in a particular state don't agree with their state's legislation, or state constitution, then rally for a change. Otherwise, consider a move to more acceptable surroundings. I have high hopes that the SCOTUS opinion will be favorable to our cause, and not do damage to those states that already enjoy the ability to excersize their RKBA, but still am very apprehensive as to the outcome in the long run.
Fingers crossed!

It's crazy that it's illegal for a home owner to have a gun in Chicago.

Hopefully that can be changed.....you are right it is nuts. I think they can have a gun just not a handgun but I may be wrong on that point.

You are correct, Chicago has a handgun ban only. Soon to be voided. I am yet ever hopeful that the Bill of Rights will be coming to my state soon, that carry may finally be possible.
