I would love to use 8 round magazines in my PM9 at the range and in my nightstand. I'm wondering if anyone is familiar with a grip extender that will work with the 8 round "K920" magazines so that there isn't a gap. The A&G extenders I'm aware of are for 7 round magazines (which I don't need because the 7 round mag that came with the gun already has a partial extender).

If anyone is selling a +2 grip extender, please let me know!! Thanks

I think you're looking for this:

Or maybe:

...if you already have the mag.

Probably the closest you're gonna get is 2 of the A&G extenders with the K920 magazine you mentioned, but I'm not really sure how well that would fit together. It would probably take some fitting and maybe gluing.

The first of your links is the 8 round magazine for guns that normally hold 7 rounds flush. If inserted into the PM9/CM9, there would still be exposed metal magazine protruding from the gun.

The second link you posted adds a pinky grip onto the bottom of the standard 6 round magazine.

There has to be a market for 8 round mag grips for the PM series, right????

Look here at the 2nd section and the 6th section.

I believe the best you're going to get is the MK720. 7+1
I've never seen a +2 extender for the PM9. Maybe I can make one? Oh no, here I go again!

If you make them, you have to start selling them. This is a market niche that NEEDS filling. I think there is a great demand in the PM/CM community

Thanks Ricardo, I'll definitely consider it. I am still testing my current CNC machined mag base plate on different guns before I put it out there for sale... then maybe I'll make other stuff.

Still looking for an 8 round grip extender. This product makes TOO MUCH sense not to exist. A&G or X-grips....WHERE ARE YOU GUYS??? I'll take 3!!

I think it would be cool... I will consider machining one, or putting it in the rapid prototype machine (plastic), but you might be in the minority when it comes to wanting an 8 round magazine for a PM/CM pistol. It also may be a while before I can get to it because I'm very busy with work and family.

In the mean time, you could try stacking a ton of o-rings around the mag tube to fill the gap.

Per Adam, who is selling these grips on eBay, this grip is an extension for the 6-round magazine only.

Oh. So you can't put it on an 8 round mag. FORGETABOUTIT!

and my question would be WHY. does that come with a longer magazine spring. I would think it sure should in order to work that slide stop right.. I must say it looks cool but being from Indiana and seeing this grip extension is made in Indiana. I was pretty sure we didn't have anyone smart enough in Indiana to come up with such a fine looking accessory. Just sayin

For those of you who are interested, here is a link to the eBay auction.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kahr-CM9-Grip-extension-Adams-Grips-CM-9-9mm-/320848795717

He also lists a version for .45 ACP PM45 mags.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kahr-PM45-Grip-extension-Adams-Grips-PM-45-/221055560180

I am guessing the 9mm version would work on a "fotay" mag as well. But, I am not going to test this gadget. So, we are relying on you adventurous souls out there.

From his description, it appears that he only sends the plastic part.

I guess maybe the reason it won't work on an8 round magazine is that no longer mag springs are shown for any kahr mags other than factory 8 roud mags. so adding two more rounds and using the same 8 round magspring justmight not work right either. Not sure I wanna be a beta tester for anything other thanbuying it for the 6 round mag and thenordering an 8 round mag spring to go in it.

You're not understanding, Jocko. It is just an extended mag BASE to provide more grip for people with big hands. It is solid plastic on the bottom of an unaltered 6 round mag. Still just 6 rounds, same spring, same functioning.

Actually, now that I read his auction, I see that he says, "These extensions do not add to the capacity of the mag."

They are just over sized versions of the Pearce Grip finger extensions.

Back to sleep . . . ;)

At least they extend to the back of the grip . . . but, I have to pass.

I know. It took me a while to figure it out, too. Very misleading! :001_huh:

Not too pretty. Extra grip without the benefit of extra rounds. Bummer.

Riccardo, I'll try to get around to doing this right... as soon as I get some time.
