took my new CW4543 to the range this morning, with a bag full of about 300 rounds of Winchester 230 grain FMJ and a HUGE plastic mug of ice cold Mountain Dew to beat the heat. Been a while since I've hit the range...forgot how much I love the smell of these places.
Anyway, started off at 7 yards with the one 6 round and two 7 round mags, putting two loads through each mag..I think was 28 rounds total, just to sight it in. Fed extremely well from start to finish. No stoppages at all. Discovered factory sights are definitely wanting especially in indoor or lower light conditions...and that the first groupings showed to be low and to the left. Used my little sight tool (tiny screwdriver..LOL) and made tiiiiiny little adjustments until rounds were falling center mass. Reloaded and put out new target...focusing on accuracy now. After second mag, groups were tightening up...by the last round, was putting consistent 2" groups center mass..although slightly low in the left hand corner of the k-5. Moved out to 15 yards, accuracy remained dead on with groups averaging around 4" and 5" with the occasional thrown round (adjusting to length of pull from Glock is interesting). Once I was comfy there, decided to try my luck at 25 yards, even though this would be outside the intended engagement range for this size .45. Gotta say, may not have been the prettiest looking target, but not one single round was in the black and ll were either dead center mass or with 6 - 10 inches circular around it. All would be instant stopping hits so I have to say...am completely satisfied and even a bit surprised by this little handful of feistyness.

Put around 250 rounds though it, stopping only long enough to load up mags...slow fire, rapid fire, and even off handed...not one single failure to fire, stoppage, stovepipe or misfeed...NONE. Lots of residue on the front, outside of the slide...but not a big deal. My hands aren't sore as I've read might happen..I guess the heavy duty recoil spring makes up for the felt recoil issues....was as comfortable to shoot for those 3 hours as my smooth as butter, custom ported and trusty Glock 23...

overall opinion...LOVE this weapon. Comfort level during shooting and after shooting...no different than any other mid-sized handgun I've fired with high pressure loads. Mind you, I didn't put anything other than 230 ball ammo through it, so obviously my +p Corbon, Gold Dot and Hornady might make a little more whack to my wrist...but the way this gun handled the main rounds, I'm not the least bit concerned about that.

I can highly recommend this particular model to anyone looking for a reliable and surprisingly accurate compact .45 that can handle whatever rounds you put through it

Nice range report:) I'm curious as to how you are adjusting the factory sights on a CW45 with a "tiny screwdriver".

I use a tiny flat-head screwdriver, that I've ground down slightly so it has a slight face to it (so it's not sharp) that is just wide enough to fit the width of the sight. I place it against the bottom of the sight where it meets the slide and give it a slight tap with a small rubber hobby hammer and it moves the sight just slightly...like a fraction of a millimeter. I just lay the gun flat (unloaded of course) and use my forearm to hold it in place...works perfect for this type sight since it's fitted into a notched channel.

Just remembered the one thing I found that was more of a PITA than a safety issue, with me at least. Every now and then, during a mag change, when I pushed the mag into the well and gave it a palm tap to make sure it was fully seated, the slide would release on it's own, chambering the first round without me having hit the slide release or racking the slide back. I know with the trigger disconnect, there is no chance of an AD, but for the novice shooter, this could possibly be a safety concern.
