The end cap on the recoil spring has gone MIA. Must have fell off today at the range. On Kahr's website it looks like they only offer the entire assembly. Is it worth it to replace just the end cap or should I replace the entire assembly? If I replace the assembly, do I count the two coils that anchor the outer spring to the guide to determine if I have the new or old spring? thanks.

If you haven't had the gun too long, they usually send you another recoil assembly for free. An email with that picture and the particulars of your pistol should get a new assembly. Mention the large coil Count and your slide type, serial number.

While waiting for a replacement, you can turn your own replacement using a stainless nut as I did:

There's been a lot of this happening lately. Their "permanent" bond isn't too permanent!

And for the email . . . Email: service@kahr.com Phone: (508)795-3919

Thanks guys. I'll email Kahr. Kinda silly to replace the whole assembly for a little nut.

Does anyone know why the mk pistols Captured RSA won't work in the cm pm guns?

Received replacement from Khar today; whole RSA. range tomorrow. Will now try replacing nut as described above on old RSA. Silly they don't offer it. Should I let some blue lock-tite slide down there or leave as is? How do you get the large spring off? It's on pretty tight and I don't wanna break it/stretch it out.
