ex-Police K9's at the gun show

Went to the local gun show and saw 2 used K9's in one of the cases. I asked the lady behind the counter where she came from and she said they were police trade-ins.

I held one and it was nice. You could tell it was used but not abused. They were selling them for $499. I guess that was a good price.

I didn't get one since I don't have $500 laying around at the minute. I think if I had the $500 I'd get more ammo. I guess my point is they're are out there if anyone is looking and are in relatively good shape.

One thing interesting. You don't see a whole lot of Kahr's out there but if you mention one to someone behind the counter, whoever you talk to says "they make nice guns." They just don't have too many in inventory because most of the public knows S&W, Springfield, Colt, and Glock.

It seems like dealers that have Kahrs have several or lots. A lot of the dealers around here especially at gun shows carry a lot of the cheap stuff. Kel Tecs, Jimenez, etc to pray on the unwary new or unenlightened buyers.

I've had numerous discussions with the couple that I frequently deal with, encouraging them to get the good stuff and make good customers and friends rather than be a highway gas station and hit and run.

I recall the one dealer I use a lot to me they were soooo expensive when I asked him to get me a price and order me my PM45. He was like you don't want that.

So the next month at the show I showed him my shiny new PM45 that I didn't want cause it was sooooo expensive. He hasn't questioned my request since.
