Do you find that your Kahr needs to be a little more "wet" in terms of being oiled compared to say an XD or a Glock? I have had several times where my K9 just didn't seem quite right after cleaning. In in those instances (after much fusing and several disassemble/reassembles) a little more oil than I would typically like to use seems to clear it up. I was just wondering if others have had the same experience with their Kahr. It is not a big deal as I detail strip and thoroughly clean my K after every range trip, so I am not worried about crup build-up. However my XD requires almost no oil so it seems strange to have to use that much (relatively speaking) on my K9.

I love the pistol, shoots/runs great, but it definitely requires far more attention than my XD. This is my first all steel pistol, so maybe its just the nature of steel pistols?

The answer is yes, an all metal pistol needs a different perspective on where and how much lube is needed versus polymer guns. I agree with you that the metal Kahrs are happiest when well lubed. I use and recommend a light grease such as TW25b for the slide as this type of lube stays put and lasts a very long time.

Yes. I always run my Kahrs and SIG's wet, as opposed to the HK's, S&W's, and others. Of course I also clean and relube a gun every time I shoot it or every three months, which ever comes first.

i started using greese on slide contact points as well as oil on other points, if you look at kahrs recomended lube there is more lube spots then on other guns

After a wet break in on my CM9 I now run it near dry, just a touch of CLP on the metal to metal. Completely trouble free since break in and stays cleaner in my pocket and dusty range days.

i have the cw9 and k9, and the k9 (carbonsteel) is very high spec of tightness tolerance, it def feels better with more oil
