I watched the opening ceremonies

of the London Olympics and I thought they were so bad, I wanted to shoot the television.

Definitely left leaning. pro Socialized health care. pro Environment (made industrialization look evil). pro Drugged up literature. Some of it was downright disturbing. So yea, you could say I agree ;-)

I'm not much of a Games watcher anymore, haven't been for years now. It just seems to be more about medal count then sport anymore.

Not sure we'll ever see much of anything that beats the Beijing opening. That was truly stunning.

Mostly, this year, I'm just disgusted w/ what they did w/ the gymnastics, turning into a (for all practical purposes) a socialist, everybody wins, pile of crap. To hand out a shot in the overall to every country is just wrong. You are either the best, or not. You either qualify, or not. I just fail to see the point, other than to say, every country deserves to compete for gold in a competition meant to identify the best of the best.
