I am a self admitted 1911 guy, with a healthy ration of 5:1 when it comes to 1911's vs. others. And I am always quick to fix issues related to slide stop bump in that platform. But, today for the first time I took out my new CW9 which exhibits bumping of the stop with the slide off, and shot 220 trouble free rounds today. Of those, 100 were WWB, 100 were zero 125gr handloads, and 20 were GD short barrels. I shot weak hand, strong hand only, as well as ton of rounds with an intentional limp wrist. All were flawless. This is my first Kahr.
From reading other posts for various Kahr products, I know some have problems with premature slide lock, but in the CW9 platform is there always a bit of contact with the slide stop? I dont plan on altering it unless I have a problem, but am just curious if this is by design. For the record I have slight contact with the 115gr WWB as well as the GD's. The contact varies from mag to mag, and by position of the round in the magazine. The round easily pops over the slide stop when contact is made and has yet to cause an issue.
