I've been to the Glock forum reading up on the GSSF membership and the buy at LE pricing. I want a G30 SF which I can buy from a LGS for $550 without membership. I can buy a 2 year membership for $60 and save $50 of that on a new gun IF the store sells it at the GSSF SRP of $491. What would the "usual" LE price be for the G30 SF?
I read to call Glock and get participating LGS' which I can do but wanted to get your opinion about the discount and the organization.

Looks like the going LEO price is around $460ish for just the pistol.

I think you will absolutely love the G30. I know I do mine!
BTW, if you can swing it, the night sights are phenominal on a G30.

So far it looks like my LGS is cheaper than mail order + FFL and I can see the one I get. I'd like to get night sights but I'm already stretching the budget.

It's slightly cheaper if you can get the night sights out of the box rather than buy them later. We just get the Glock night sights on our duty guns but I think you can get Trijicon out of the box too. The Glock sights are a little less loot.
Personally I still believe night sights are over rated especially on a small defense type gun, a must have on a duty gun but not so much for us civilians.
I put XS Big Dots (thanks to Jeepster?) on mine. Might be a good option if you have to wait for the piggy bank to recoup.
I'll contribute to the cause what I can too if that helps. A little bit anyhow, kind of poor my own self right now.

I purchased a 30sf @ LEO price; made a trade and was happy with the deal but don't remember the details. I have a LEO dealer within driving distance (1Hour) so that helped out.
Mine has the standard sights I like them just fine. The trigger feels better to me than a 17L that I used to have.
I like the pistol a lot!

The Glock matches that I shoot are GSSF matches and I've purchased several Glocks using the GSSF discount coupons. It's a great program it you want to compete or have a GSSF dealer in your area.

$464.20 Is LE price.
You could always get the Gen 4 Glock 30 too.

I don't think that the GSSF and LEO prices are the same. Seem to remember that the GSSF were somewhat higher.

Yeah, the PDF for GSSF shows $491. Still a good price but the reason for joining is to get the gun and that means another $60 which brings it up to the $550 LGS pricing to the public. I like the LGS so will get it there and skip the GSSF.
