First time poster, long time reader. I just had a bunch of work done to my CW9, a basic overhaul, by Frank Duren from Dark Ops and now I'm looking for sights. I had installed a Dawson Precision rear sight on for me and I don't like it. I have a CT laser and can't seem to get it to line up like it used to be. Anyway, what kind of set up are you guys running for sights? If I can figure out how to load a pic, I will.

If your only complaint is that it won't line up? Is there a front sight that could help with that? Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the crimson trace?

I'm not really sure what the deal is. Before hand I could co-witness easily. Now, I cannot because it seems like when I adjust the laser up, it's no longer sighted in before for co-witness. When I have it sighted in correctly, it sets too low to see.

I don't mean to be a :2eek:, but with all the money you put in this gun, why didn't you start with a P9? IMO the machining details on a P9 look much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying the CW is less of a gun and if I would have got enough of a better deal on a CW9 I would have taken one over my P9 (he had a CW40, but it was only $50 less and I have a 9mm that is my boy's toy, so 9mm is easier having the same ammo)

This was my first handgun (actually the 1st gun) I ever purchased about 2 years ago. At that time, I didn't have a CCW or know what I was doing to be honest. I didn't have a lot of money, so that's what I picked up. About 3 months ago, I went to trade it in at a few places and was super offended about what they wanted to give me ($125 max). I put it on a few different sites asking $275 and not being unreasonable, but I think the CW is like an elbow, everybody's got one. So I had a few extra bucks, I guess a lot of extra bucks after it's all said and done, and talked to Frank Duren about getting it customized and he sold me on it. So, I guess it's one of those live & learn kind of deals and it's super nice, but I carry an XDS .45 now. If I could go back, I would have purchased a glock 26 as my first gun. I'm even thinking about selling it again now that I have a different CCW anyway. I'm not rich or anything, just dumb and don't think things through all the time.
BTW, I did re-install my factory rear sight today and it's back to normal, so the DP is going in the trash.

I think the strait lines on the slide of my polished CM9 look better than a PM9 would have looked. JMHO.

I totally understand, budget is a big factor in my gun (or anything else) buying also. I got my P9 because that's what the LGS that wouldn't hose me on trade had. I was looking for a Glock 36 or 17. I'm glad I got the Kahr though, I really like this little gun

Someday I'm going to make the trip over the mountain to take a look at that thing and see if it looks as good in person as it does in photos.
Just sayin :)

Give me some advance warning so I can apply some Flitz. That pic and all those in my slideshow were made by the original owner right after it was polished. With carrying it and shooting it, some very light scratches have developed. I have owned it for over a year, and it is a carry gun, not a safe queen. It still looks awesome, but it's about time for a good polishing.
