After my boneheaded K9 reassembly locking the slide back by incorrectly inserting the slide stop pin, I called Kahr CS. The gentleman instructed me to ship my K9 back to Kahr. I asked how much it would cost and he said it depends on the repair. He also said it would take 3-4 weeks to get back. I sent it Fedex on Monday 7/30 ($60) and figured I would be in for shipping cost, repair cost, return shipping, and a 3-4 week wait. Two days later (8/1), I got home and noticed a Fedex sticker on my door that required a signature. I couldn't figure out what it was that I ordered or might be getting. The thought never crossed my mind I would get my gun back in two days.

So I get my package today, sign for it, look on the box and guess what? It came from Kahr! I opened, gun was fixed, and best of all they didn't charge me anything. They must have realized how much it cost me to ship the gun and wanted to make me happy.

Two BIG thumbs up, and I will definitely buy from Kahr again after this experience.

Sweet! Glad you got it back! Sometimes I wonder if its not cheaper to hit up a local gun smith (even if you have to pay him) instead of paying those insane shipping costs just to save on the warranty work. Glad it worked out for you though !

That's quite true. However, I get nervous taking my better guns to many if not most local smiths. Too many aren't half as good as they think they are.

Glad everything worked out, guess you won't be making that mistake again. You definitely did the right thing by sending it to Kahr, they know your pistol better than anyone. A $60 well spent...
