:)
So for a while now i've had an LCR 357 and a Kahr CM9. bought both around the same time
...put about 600 rounds through each. had 2 fails with hornady critical defense 115g through the kahr in the first 200 rds, but never since (and i never tried again..i carry 147g only now).
after the 5th range visit with each, i am now selling the LCR.
I wanted to LOVE having 357 available, but not only can i not hit squat with it, but it just sucks to shoot.
i had it loaded with winchester LE +p+ and it was manageable, but at similar velocities and power in a 1.875" bbl vs 3" kahr 9mm, i just can't justify it.
back to the last visit.
200 trouble free rounds with it at 7 yards, i kept all rounds on a 5" plate, vs say 1/3 of that with the LCR..didn't even know where the other 2/3 went.
god i loved having it, but if i can't shoot what i'm aiming at, it's gone.
so the CM9 is still and always shall remain in my left pocket at work, and crossdraw in workout shorts/tshirt.
love it!

Funny this came up tonight, I'm shooting my friends LCR 38 tomorrow to see if I want one. I dont need it, just something new. CM9 with me everyday, SP101 at bedside. Guess I should save my money for when Kahr make me a "one off" CW22.... I keep asking so just maybe :w00t:

I shot my buddy's LCR 9 and did very well with it. He got bit by the slide and lost a good size chunk of thumb knuckle meat. Watch, those suckers will bite you!

I'm a certified Ruger nut myself. I was crushed when my son rented an LCR (the revolver) on trip to the range. It felt good in hand, I wasn't nuts about the look but I shot 2 cylinders through it and had enough.
Couldn't hit the barn door with it, the recoil was atrocious and the trigger slapped my let er buck finger every time. He managed to finish off the box of ammo, have to use their ammo in range guns but decided he didn't really want one either.
Usually I'm good with all things Ruger but that didn't do it for me. Never shot a LCP (the auto) but held a few and they didn't blow my dress up either.
Maybe I'm getting picky or something?

I have the .380 LCP and it is a punisher to shoot more than about 50 rounds. I haven't shot the LCR or LC9 but I heard they are not the best range toys. Sometimes though I still have an itch for the LCR in .38 spec. I can't imagine it in .357.

I have an LCR. Trigger is not as smooth as a Kahr, but better than S&W IMO.
Can keep groups in 5" at 7 yards with an occasional stray. Got it for my wife to carry, but she can't hit the broad side of a barn with it and the recoil starts to bother her after @ 20-25 rounds. She tried a Kahr P380 range gun and loved it, so I'll be lookin for a good deal on one of those @ North Central Florida. If any one has any info, I sure would appreciate it.

I have shot a 3.5" 5-shot Gold Dot group offhand @25yards with my LCR 38. But it takes FOREVER to stroke the trigger smoothly and slowly enough not to disturb the sights (also mine has the XS sights). My CM9, a little heavier, and with a smoother and lighter trigger, I can shoot it more accurately and more quickly than the LCR.

Well, I thank you! :p But I'm sure you meant to say "JFootin's J-frame...," referring to my S&W 638 with the incredible 4.25 lb DA trigger that my gunsmith accomplished for me! :D

You know you Are allowed to shoot 38 Specials out of a 357 to practice with the darn thing. Once you get good at it, then go to the full bore 357's.
