Went into a LGS with my son. He was looking to trade a couple of shotguns for an AR-15. I've made quite a few purchases from this establishment. The people are great and treat me more than fairly.

While my son was negotiating his deal, one of the sales guys who knows I'm a Kahr fan approached me with a Kahr MK9 Elite they took in on trade. It was absolutely beautiful and appeared in pristine condition. I ogled and drooled while a buddy of mine, who just happened to be in the shop, egged me on. The owner/manager/lead sales guy, who is also familiar with me, saw this going on so he walked over with a Kahr T9 that had also been taken in on trade. It was also in pristine condition and absolutely beautiful. Now the show really starts; me like a frantic idiot trying to figure out how to afford these pistols and my buddy giggling at me like a giddy school girl. Needless to say, I put a down payment on both of them and planning on taking care of the balance as soon as possible. OTD total was $550 for the MK9 and $600 for the T9. So what say you; good deal, fair deal or was I taken to the cleaners?

From the looks of them I think you did really good. I was on pins and needles waiting to see which one you went for, I was euphoric when I see you went for both. You make me so proud.

They both look really good. I'd love to have a T9 to call my own some day.

So did the boy end up with an AR?

So did the boy end up with an AR?

Yes, indeed he did. His first AR. Dad had to kick in a couple hundred bucks as he didn't do well at all on his trade-ins and he's currently monetarily handicapped, but he left with a huge grin from ear to ear and that's worth a million bucks to me.

I'm know to be monetarily handicapped most of the time so I can relate. I've also had to help on a few purchases for my boy at gun shows on the rare occasions when I had some loot. It's worth it.

Two really nice pistols there. I follow the T9 more than the MK9 so I'm not tuned to MK9 prices, but the T9 price looks to be in line, especially if it's in really great shape. I paid much less for mine but that was years ago. Enjoy the two Kahrs.

I think you did pretty good. They sure look nice, and a quite a were quite a bit cheaper than a new pair would have run. Plus hopefully they had the 200 round break in, so all you have to do is shoot em until you have confidence in them, and you're good to go.
