Well as you guys here know I put a CM 40 on layaway. So I was in my LGS today paying on it and fondeling it of course ;-) when a guy in the tells me that the cm 40's have a problem with broken magazine followers.
Now I love this gun already and haven't even shot it yet and I've already ordered an extended 6 rd mag for a spare. Is this something I should be concerned with was/is this a common problem with these guns? By the way I can't wait to pick this gun up in two weeks and get her to the range. Thanks for any info guys.

We've heard of it BUT, I wouldn't give it a single moment of your thought process until it actually happens to you.
I don't think it's any kind of pandemic across the board issue, more of a once in awhile type thing.
I'm trying to remember who and what the specific details and cures are but my thought process's are coming up blank at the moment.
Work on the love, get it picked up and we'll figure it out if we need too.
Your in the longest period of a mans life, waiting to pick up his gun. They should prescribe valium or something to help us thru these trying times.

Thanks guys like I said I really love everything about this gun its size, weight and power.
I pocket carry 90% of the time so the CM 40 is a logical choice for me over the CW model.
I owned a P9 that was an awsome gun that I'm still kicking myself for selling,so I'm familiar with kahr arms guns. Can't wait to be back in the kahr club here soon.

I broke both mag followers on two mags. Kahr sent me I email label and I had the fixed gun and mags back in a couple of weeks. There customer service was great. Just shoot yours and see how it shoots.

Rooterpig thanks for the fast reply. Also does the mag follower breaking disable the gun? Thanks again for the help so far I'm looking forward to getting this gun soon.

CW40 just busted the follower this week.
Broke both the front and the rear lip/tabs simultaneously and they fall down into the mag case. Sheared the metal slide catch on the follower. Made the last couple rounds jam and slide wouldn't lock back on empty or I wouldn't have noticed.

Check the other thread where you posted this info for my recollections from when I trimmed my ramp to eliminate a similar issue. http://kahrtalk.com/showthread.php?p=195579&posted=1#post195579
