Hello, I'm Matt from NE Ohio, Just bought a MK40 on GunBroker. I have been really wanting a MK40, I'm aware of the weight, but all stainless is the only way I will go. I bought a Desantis Pocket-Tuk off eBay, Probably the biggest waste of 20+ bucks, And I was wondering if anyone has tried the Pocket holster on Kahr's site? or if anyone can provide some good information about a different option. I like the Remora holsters , But really wanted something that wouldn't print at all. Thanks in advanced and here are some pictures I thought I would share of the newly acquired MK40.

I like the Desantis Super Fly for pocket use. It stays put and good concealment.

For me, the Stays-Put Ultra (http://www.concealmentspecialties.com/products.html) at $14.95 shipped can't be beat. Stays put better than any pocket holster I have tried (and I've tried a bunch). Thin, yet disguises the shape of the gun well.

By comparison, the Superfly is bulkier and prints much worse.

I use a cheap Uncle Mike's size 1 pocket holster for my MK9 on the rare occasion I pocket carry. It is by no means the best option but it works well with cargo pants and moderately loose jeans.

So I decided to try and make some modifications to the Desantis holster, First I cut away and removed the Leather reinforced top and circular piece of leather to hold the optional belt clip on. Then I used some Textured tape that I had bought for my RV steps and tried to wrap the holster in that. It tightened it up a bit, but I just cant get it to stay in the pocket. and after carrying it around in the pocket for two days, I think I'm going to try a more traditional method of carry. Here are some additional pictures of the holster.

I haven't had a chance to get to the range yet (Just picked it up like 72 hours ago), I will report back soon with a range report. I'm hoping the weight will tame the .40 some.

Yes I did, I appreciate the response. I looked into them. I was looking for something more along the lines of a leather wallet type with a solid rectangular front portion as a permanent solution, but as stated before I think I will rarely pocket carry now considering the weight.

Yeah, I agree. The CM does weigh and sag your pants down when carried in the front pocket. My response was regarding printing and staying put in the pocket, which the Stays-Put Ultra excels at.

Regarding the leather ones that look like a wallet, I think they might work OK when sized for a micro gun. But the ones I have examined that fit the CM have to be noticeably larger than a wallet to fit the gun. The package is also a bit over an inch in thickness. Might work in cargo pants, but not in jeans or dockers.

The Pocket holster I liked best for my CM9 was the El Paso Pocket Max. Very comfortable and somehow seemed to minimize the weight effect. (El Paso have been making holsters forever, so they kinda know what they are doing!) Amazingly little printing. Couldn't tell it was there in my jeans when I was standing. Big lump sitting on my thigh when sitting, of course, but it didn't look much like a gun. The holster would move when I drew the gun, but it wouldn't come out with the gun, so I got used to the movement and it didn't bother me. When I decided I was not going to pocket carry my CM9, I sold the holster to a forum member.

Now, I most often carry the CM9 in a PJ IWB with Over Belt Clip and FBI Cant (http://pjholster.com/?page_id=37) in what I call the "sweet spot" behind my hip (8:30 for me, being a lefty; 3:30 for a righty). Riding there, that holster magically makes itself and the gun imperceptible to me as I sit, stand and go about my day. It is so small and light, and it holds the gun securely in position with no creeping or movement so that it becomes one with my body. I have to reach back there and touch the gun to confirm that it is still there! Now that is ultimate 100% comfort for all day carry!

When I want to go a little dressier, I use my James Dean leather IWB - a work of art in finest Herman Oak leather, hand stitched, perfectly molded to the gun. Here is a picture...

I'm not big on pocket conceal, consider a nice OWB form Galco or Bianchi for that kick-ass b**ch. That series of Kaur will conceal just fine using appendix or strong side. Just my
