My wife bought a new CM9 that came with the polymer "pinky" floor plate. She doesn't like it though, and I don't want it for my PM9. I let her use one of my 6 round mags for now.

Today I went on the Kahr website to see about ordering the flush floor plate parts. Two parts needed are $8.80 each, for a total of $17.60 . Now, I live in Washington State and the ground shipping is more than $6.00. So now my total for these two pieces is somewhere around $24.00 .

I can get the entire magazine for less than $30.00, so this seems like a rip-off to me. These parts could easily be placed in an envelope and mailed for a stamp. What's up with this?

It is not fair it is marketing, not much demand for the parts you want so someone picked a number out of the air. Take the hint. Just buy a new magazine and keep the original as her reload or for parts or use at the range.

Just like a car, if you buy it piece by piece from the parts list a $30,000 car will cost $100,000.

That pinky floor plate can be modifed to be very near as thin as the stamped steel version and cost nothing but some time with a file.

Ad in marketplace here for floorplate kit $10:

Or at Kahr.com search for the base plate kit. The KIT is $15 for the plate and the lock. You want metal to metal, not weakened plastic and metal to drop your ammo and risk your life!
