I bought a CW9 on July 12th and it had light strikes. Sent it back and they got it on the 17th. I just got it back today (Aug. 9th). I am pretty Happy with the time it took. Hopefully I can trust their work because I am shooting IDPA Saturday (11th) with it. Hopefully I will get time to put a couple mags through it before the match,We will see. I kinda feel bad because I sent a email and called them in the time they had the gun because I REALLY wanted to shoot this IDPA match with this gun.
They replaced the slide and test fired it. That seems to be a common problem when light strikes are involved. Last IDPA Match I shot a Glock 19,Although I shot it well (10th out of 44 shooters) I am not fond of the Glock pistols, because they just don't fit my hand real good. I had a CM9 that was flawless but I had to really try hard to shoot it well where the CW9 feels natural to me. Even though I did not have alot of rounds through the CW9 before I had to send it to the Factory for repair I could tell it was going to be a shooter. I am super excited to get my gun Back and able to shoot the match. I will let you know how it goes. Jim

Hope it all works out for you with the repair. Shoot straight and rack up the points.

Let us know how you and the gun preform.
I might try a match with my CW9 in the next few mo's .
I've never shot any match before but there is a non sanctioned one not to far from me that my bro n law shots at and I think I'm going to give it a try.

I put a pencil in the barrel to see how hard it would hit, because before I sent it in the pencil would only just pop up a little, but now it jumps out of the barrel. I could also only try it 3 times before the pencil would not move anymore. Looking at the end of the pencil told why, The dent was so bad that there is now way that that striker could hit the pencil anymore. Put a new pencil in and it would shoot out the end again. It sure seems like it is hitting a heck of alot harder now :) . They did say they lubed it also, but it was dryer than a popcorn fart.
I will let you know how the thing does in the IDPA match. I will also keep a few of the brass to compare how they look. Jim

Ran 2 Mags through my CW9 before the IDPA Match and the gun was perfect. Matter of fact it Ran perfect through the whole match. I did not have a Great match but I know the gun is capable. There was plenty of shots that I made that was a great straight shot and then I made some easy shots that I shanked bad. in other words it was all on me not the gun. I was giddy about the gun and cannot wait unitil the next match. Jim

Are you using the 7 round mags? How many mags do you carry during a match?
I thought about using my CW9 in an IDPA match but the 7 round mags would be a serious handicap.

I start with 7+1 and use the 7 rounders. Really did not feel it was a handicap. Seems like when the stages called for a reload the 10 rounders had to reload also. I do not think we had a stage that had 15 rounds and I had to reload 3 times against thier twice. I think 18 is the max in a stage. So it would be me reloading 3 times to thier twice but it seems not to happen aften enough to worry about. I have shot against a few revolver guys that just plain kick butt with 6 rounds. Some of the most fun I have seen guys having is shooting a Snubby, I would not go that far but I do have a lot of fun with the Kahr. Jim

from reading u guys comments about thesematchs, etc and doing it with a kahr, IMO, then one should go into that match with the attitude of having fun and learning from it, not realy in the competitive scenario. Probalby some great othger guns for that match that would shoot and do wonders around any kahr, but if ur kahr is ur defense gun, then have fun at those matchs and screw the results. We don;'t have any type of these matches around my area what so ever but if they did I would do it withmy PM9 tha tismy 24/7 and the results wold be what they would be. I would care less what I shoot or what other people watchig me was thinkin:israel:
I shoot skeet with an old Iver Johson side by sdie with skeet barrels and double trigger, finest wood u have ever seen on a 100 year old gun. Certainly not the gun for skeet,. It bothers me nadda either. It was always my dove gun ,and they never complained. Just sayin

Makes me wish you could figure out how to post of picture. You got a couple I'd love to see. That engraved J frame, now that Iver Johnson and maybe a picture of your wifes window.

I want to see a picture of Jocko's wife. I want to know just what kind of woman would marry the old reprobate. She probably prettier than a speckled pup. Opposites attract. :)

Oh I can do that. She even looks pretty when she wakes up. Best I could do from the tall window sill.
She's an angel. Not bad for a 76 year old cradle robber, her that is, he was in the cradle.

Our club must set up the stages different. There are only a few each year that are revolver friendly and when I shot my combat commander with 8 round magazines I have run out of ammo before the end of the stage, but I did shoot a couple extra make up shots.
