My new PM9 Black barrel crown is noticeably off-center. Took a few pictures to get you an idea.

Is it normal? The gun shoot accurate, even much better than all my Glocks. I just wandering if this is the common case for Kahr quality or I will need to ask SC to replace the barrel?

I don't see it. None of your pics is strait on, so it is impossible to see what you are talking about. In fact, it looks right on the money to me.

OK. I looked again and I see what you're saying! I think Kahr owes you a new barrel.

I've got FedEx label from Kahr. Sending out barrel and slide tomorrow. Will see how long will it take to turn around.

I'm glad Kahr gave you a FedEx label to send that barrel back to the drawing board. Kahr will make it right, I would expect the part in about a week's time.

You're gun is covered with hairs. You really need to use a holster for SOB carry. :001_tt2:

:D That's from q tips and patches. I'm form CA - no CCW

Package went out today morning, will post the update here.

That gun was the last in the stock. I didn't know that. They grubbed one from the stand and I did'n look carefully hoping that they going to bring another one from the backroom as usually. But honestly I even didn't expect to see such defect on the Kahr barrel.

Interesting that the accuracy of that small gun is amazing. Even shooting off hands and with f-up barrel. Here is the picture of one of the target, 25 yards, 10 round, off hand. I cannot repeat that trick with none of mine Glocks. Really push me to think about start saving for a full size Kahr like K9, or may be just all steel version of PM9 - MK9

Glad its gettin fixed.

That is a good crown. Its the bore thats bad. Any target rifle crown is cut AFTER indicating the bore. One at a time, you can cut crowns that way. Do lots of crowns, and its cut from the outer barrel diameter. A little off in bore concentricity is acceptable. Your bore is way off tho.

25 yards off hand??? I can barely see the target at 25 yards if I keep the front sight in focus. Damn good shooting. I used to get results like that or better with my Dan Wesson's .357's or Smith and Wesson 629, using a rest. I'm too wobbly now to even keep half of em in the scoring circles off hand at that distance.

That's why I was surprised ether  Indore shooting range, target all the way down to the stopwall, 25 yards. No need to see target clear, I'm not 20/20, have to wearing glasses when driving, so the target is fussy any way. I just line up sights (thanks to Kahr for the "normal post and notch sighs" on the "pocket" gun) focus on the front sight and press the perfect Kahr trigger - and I was shocked to be able to count all ten holes on a paper the first time. Definitely will not be able to repeat it with any of my Glocks.

At 5-7 yards needed to aim way above the center of the target. But at 25 yards I had to aim right at the targets bull's eye. I know that PM9 is not the target shooting gun but ability to hit target on such long distance makes me feel very confidently.

Some times I pressed the slide stop during the shooting and slide did't stay opened after the last round (it's just me, same "shooter problem" with Glock). So, when I pressed the trigger it was "click" instead of '"boom" but sights didn't move a hair - so, smooth brake and minimum over-travel! NICE!

Will be very depressed if not be able to shoot the same group with my new-fixed-right barrel :D Next my letter to the Kahr CS will be like "Give me my spoiled barrel back!" :D

Forget to mention that for 25 yards shots I'm using JERRY MICULEK TRIGGER CONTROL (http://www.myoutdoortv.com/shooting/shooting-usa/jerry-miculek-trigger-control) Method #3. See from 1:25. In my case the trigger finger not using the pistol frame like a trigger stop but the left hand. Works pretty good though.

Like I promised - quick update. Barrel and slide were delivered to Kahn on August 20, sent back on August 28, got it Sept. 4. Haven't shoot it yet but overall impression is positive. New barrel looks good. Has different color, though. Use to be steel matte finish, now it's looks like bronze. Like it :)

Again, 25 yards off hands. May be the Kahr's trigger is just works FOR ME, I don't know. But it's just an amazing little wonder.

FYI, I was shooting my reloads: 147 cooper plated RN bullets, TiteGroup powder, CCI primes and the mix ones fired brass (mostly Federal). At the end I shot my defense ammo (CorBon) - result was identical (but the holes were much nicer cause HP rounds :) and I get the blister per tremendous recoil ) Used two 6-round mag and one 7-round mag. I've heard a lot about 7-round mag issues so I paid particular attention to it but, so far, I can't tell you any different between 6 and 7-rounds mags reliability.

Over the 500 round - no malfunction so far. Just slide get closed a few times after the last round cause I pressed the slide release lever. Will see what I can do with that. I did preparation per article on that forum. And, yea, I DID completely dis-accessible the gun. Guys, the grease mix in fire pin channel is horrible. It shouldn't be like that. Needs to be cleaned right away.

So, thanks to Kahr for my first positive experience with their pistol and customer service. Will keep shooting till it falls apart.

Thanks. I'm very anxious to try out this method. Since day one I've had issues with the long trigger pull. It's not the guns fault by the way, I've had my trigger finger slammed in a car door many years ago right at the first joint. I have no problem with bigger handled guns, but the Kahr CM9 being single stack and small handled causes me to have to pull my finger back beyond 90 degrees which causes a problem. This technique may help me to side step my weakness.

I am glad it worked out for you! Nice shooting! Quite honestly, I could not see the crown being off due to the angle of the barrel in the photos. Apparently, it was not effecting accuracy. You shot very well with either barrel.
