"
A high-ranking Mexican drug cartel operative currently in U.S. custody is making startling allegations that the failed federal gun-walking operation known as “Fast and Furious” isn’t what you think it is."

He says it's basically a license for one cartel to wipe out all the other cartels with the US Government's blessing and providing them with the firearms to do it. Of course you have to consider the source when deciding if there is any truth to this or not.

Mods, I'm not sure about this one, it obviously involves guns, but it also is political. I thought it was worth sharing. So I went ahead and posted it, if it causes trouble I know you will be quick to shut it down. I thought about putting it in the RKBA forum, but wasn't sure it had anything to do with our right to keep and bear arms.

We have aided one enemey to combat another in the past, so it wouldn't startle me if it was true.

I still think F&F had to do with bringing about harsher gun laws. And hundreds of people died.

At one time Saddam Hussien was a fast friend of the USA. Not surprised at all. The enemy of my enemy is my friend is a very dangerous belief.

Dayumn! I never thought of that! :001_huh: Sounds plausible, though. Still, it has resulted in a couple of agents' deaths, and many Mexicans. So, no pass to Obama, Holder or any of those other lying a$$es in Washington! :31:

Might have been a two birds, one stone thing. I think it had everything to do with bringing about the perception that we need tougher gun laws.
I also would not put it past them choosing sides on the cartels instead of doing the right thing and wiping them all out.

I'm sure Texas wouldn't mind if we added a little more real estate to their lines. We're getting most of their population, we might as well get the land.

The money seized from the cartels would go far in starting to clean up our loser leaders wasteful ways.

The part that disturbed me was the timeline he quoted, from 2005 (Bush years) to 2009 (Obama years). Wouldn't be the first time the US has backed one group of gansters or rebels against others. I just know the libs are going to have a field day with the timeline and once again it will all be Bushes fault. Of course the guy may be making stuff up as he goes, hoping to cut a deal somewhere.

He obviously isn't in custody for his honesty. Something most politicians can totally relate too.

Guys TTAG (www.thetruthaboutguns.com) has been saying this since day one. Makes sense, then the ATF got conned by the others when they thought they could impose themselves more onto our rights.
Bawanna, do your plans for the middle east involve lots of glass parking lots?

Ironically yes they do, but the best part is free gas for 1 year. After that it will hold steady at about 40-50 cents a gallon premium "Full Service".
Prices will go down instead of up during peak traveling seasons.

I like that. Lots of parking and cheap gas for all.

I wouldn't be surprised if this is true...anyone remember the Iran-Contra affair!
