I am not holding my breathe on this one but with the popularity of pistol cartridge carbines, kel-tech sub 2000,beretta cx4,and the obvious advatage of having a carbine that shoots the same caliber and uses the same mag as your carry pistol, what are the chances of Kahr producing a carbine to support OUR pistols in 9 and 40?..

I wish that Ruger would make a SS Mini-45... a .45 ACP version of the Min-14/30 series. That short M1 Carbine-like action would be great. I'm thinking of home defense and don't want a shotgun or high-powered rifle, but a carbine with more accurate fire and quality-made would be nice. I've had both of the others -- 14 & 30s.

I was looking for a rifle and ended up buying a Hipoint 995 Carbine, I have not shoot it once, converted to look like the Beretta Storm with ATI stock and looks cool now. I might sell in the future, I like simplicity and this one is not very simple. Then I got Ruger Mini 14 tactical, got a good price on it. Have shot gun which am using for home defense.

That's a good looking set up. It doesn't even look like a HiPoint. It looks more like an M-1 carbine with the collapsible stock. I've been hearing rumors about them building a .45 version for years and years, but I don't think it will ever happen.
I've been considering the Masterpiece .45 cal Mac-10 rifle, side cocking, but I'm not sure I want one of those. I fired a suppressed .45 Mac-10 one time -- full auto -- and it was unbelievably quiet -- just the clacking of the bolt, but I'm not so sure of the accuracy. See, there I go again.... I've considered the Beretta CX4 in .45, but I've never seen a high capacity magazine for that.

I guess that's why it looks like one! Ha! Ha! I kind of ran with the first one mentioned -- got carried away as usual. I looked at it after I said that and did see more of a resemblance to a Mini-14. DOH! :D
Wife's getting off in half an hour so I had better check around and see what I should have done.:o
later!

Hey! Where's Jocko? I haven't heard anything out of him in a while. I took a nap earlier. I wonder if that's what he's doing. :D

I have owned a Kel-Tec Sub 2000 in 9mm, and really liked it. Actually, I have owned several Kel-Tec weapons over the years, but have traded around to the point all that's left in the collection in my wife's P-32 (she won't part with it). The Sub 2K was a great shooter, and very easy to carry folded into a compact, zippered gun bag. Actually, going head to head with a buddy's Ruger Camp Carbine (a small 9mm Mini 14 look alike), the less expensive Kel-tec S2K won hands down.... every time.

Now, my Go-To pistol round carbine is a Beretta Storm CX4 in 9mm. For a while I had an ATN heads up sight on it with a light on the forward under mount rail, but decided to put optics back on since the ATN had to be manually turned on for use. Too many buttons and switches, and I can't foot the bill for the Eotec that I would like to install. If I had it to do over again, I would probably have bought the CX4 to begin with.

Then, there are numerous pistol caliber carbines in the lever gun offerings. Marlin makes some really great .38spl/357mag carbines, as well as .44mag and possibly a few others. The .357 mag out of a 16 inch barrel is awesome, and when plinking, the 38 spl ain't no slouch.

Lots of pistol round carbines to choose from in bothe semi-auto and lever.

I am a bit excited about the prospect of an MSAR AUG in a pistol caliber. They are going to use Glock mags, so it should produce good capacities for a low price. Glock owners would be able to interchange magazines. My MSAR AUGs in 5.56 run very well. One in 10mm would be very interesting indeed....
